Evolutionary conservatism: the new synthesized with traditions

In general the speed of conservative change seems best for successful human civilizations. Two historical examples of conservative change affirm the projected changes of theological materialism in religion and an ethnopluralism of ethnostates in politics. In religion the philosophy of St. Thomas synthesized the newly rediscovered Ancient Greek philosophy into Christianity, and in politics the American Revolution grew out of the practical governing experience of both old Britain and new America---the American Revolution was not like the radical French Revolution which tried to overturn everything, and St. Thomas didn't reject Christianity with a superior Greek philosophy.

In the Twofold Path of theological materialism, the God-Within, the Father-Within of the traditional Inward Path is retained but seen as only the first symbolic glimpse of the real Godhood reached through material and supermaterial evolution in the Outward Path. The Outward Path brings the sacred goal of attaining real Godhood in evolution, the God first seen and only mirrored in the Inward Path of the great religions.

In politics an ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions could be adapted and established, legally, in the United States with our constitutional separation of powers and states. That is a practical and conservative solution to kin and ethnic-centered human nature and the diversity of competing racial/ethnic identities, each with its own natural urge to perpetuate itself and establish its own culture. The solution is not to try to jam everyone together in the same territory or to demand a creed of equality or multiculturalism, but to establish ethnostates for all distinctive groups and then protect them from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers, with a light federalism.

Crossing theological rivers

Sri Ramana Maharshi said, “To identify oneself with the body and yet seek happiness is like attempting to cross a river on the back of an alligator.”  I would turn that aphorism around. To identify yourself with the traditional definition of the spirit is like attempting to seek happiness by crossing a river with no legs, no arms, and no body.

Seeking happiness by the death of the body (by blocking material desires) as the ascetic's do for the peak material experience of bliss it brings is seeking only the death of the body, and the bliss is not even God.

The “spirit” is not non-material the spirit is the activating material will to Godhood, or Tirips. Tirips activates within material and supermaterial bodies to cross material rivers and evolve to supermaterial Godhood. Ascending levels of Godhood are supermaterial not spiritual.

We are activated to live and evolve by way of the activation of Tirips or the will to Godhood within life, and then life interacts with the outside forces of natural selection and evolution which shapes us genetically and culturally.

Fighting race hatred with an ethnopluralism of ethnostates

Hearing about another anti-Semitic attack in New York yesterday got me thinking about the analogy of using viruses to fight viruses, which was the anti-intuitive genius way Edward Jenner pioneered back in 1796 to fight small pox, and the technique has been used since then to fight other viruses. Using viruses to fight viruses is not a perfect analogy to use against racial hatred, but it might help to make the point about using an ethnopluralism of ethnostates to fight race hatred.

Ethnostates are not viruses. Contrary to received opinion, the not yet obvious solution to the diversity of racial/ethnic identities, each with its own natural urge to perpetuate itself and establish its own culture, is not to try to jam everyone together in the same territory or to demand a creed of equality or multiculturalism, but to establish ethnostates for all distinctive groups and then protect them from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers, by a light federalism.

The rise of race and identity politics demonstrates races and cultures being pulled back by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature, which remains genetically and biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. So race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation tend to eventually conform to the genetic human nature reflected in identity politics.

Unfortunately all we hear, even from those who have been most on the receiving end of race hatred, is more of the impossible demand that we all get along while jammed together in the same living space. With multiculturalism race hatred increases. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions could be established, legally, in the United States adapted from our constitutional separation of powers and states.

A more realistic evolutionary art, filling the void left by postmodernism (from 2012)

The narrative of our evolution to Godhood can unify the modern progressive world with the utopian world of the old romantics. This was something that the 19th century struggled with and then lost out to International Marxism and Global Capitalism, in spite of the remedies attempted by Carl Jung and Rene Guenon. We do not have to work backward to paradise when we apply science and religion in our evolution to Godhood.

The one-race supremacy and imperialism of the 19th and early twentieth century looks simplistic and short-sighted when compared to a world of small states, or ethnostates, with each state and people affirmed in their distinctiveness, and set alongside the others, all evolving in their own way.

This is more in harmony with human nature as defined by sociobiology and cultural history. In America there already exists a pattern for independent small states, protected by a light federalism, if the original Constitution is followed.  We would emphasize the distinctiveness of the individual states.  Europe, Russia, China also have their small states and provinces which can be affirmed and protected in their distinctiveness.

Religion can then bond and help advance the whole, as each in their variety evolve to Godhood in the cosmos.  This defines a more realistic evolutionary art, filling the void left by postmodernism.

How traditional conservatism and human beings can be saved by evolutionary conservatism

The political views of American conservatism that favor free enterprise, private ownership, and socially traditional ideas are natural and realistic for real human nature and for healthy survival and reproduction. The American republic can retain the concepts of ancient Greece and Rome and the ideas and mores from Britain that founded America, with only a few changes, such as broadening the constitutional separation of powers and states to include an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. And the Biblical understanding of religion and God on which most of the above ideas and mores were grounded need to transform from spiritual theology to theological materialism.

Traditional conservatism has been pulled apart by multiculturalism, trying to jam different ethnic groups together in the same living space, which then fall apart because distinctly different ethnic groups do not or cannot easily assimilate and therefore they compete against one another and even become enemies. This is the reality of real human nature, which remains kin-centered and ethnocentric. And to complicate multiculturalism even further, it is usually promoted by people who exploit the disorder and chaos of multiculturalism to advance their own group.

Religious, political, or ethnic totalitarianism, fascism, or empire-building have often been the temptation to try to create order out of chaos, but these always fall apart for many of the same reasons that multiculturalism falls apart: distinctly different ethnic groups and states do not or cannot easily assimilate, even with force, and so the empires fall.

As I say often in this blog, I think social and political philosophy will gradually change as the biological origin of social behavior, which includes human nature, is more accurately understood as being universally kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection.

If real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. In the U. S. this could be accomplished by adapting the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. All elements of the ethnic demographics in America could then be what they naturally are, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism. The question is can this be done consciously and rationally, or will we have to completely fall apart first?

We don't need to lose religion, Godhood, or morality, the biological origin of social behavior can be expanded to high culture, which can create a natural world with the possibility of evolving all the way to Godhood. Religious and political universalism sits at the weakest end of the bonding by altruism, or being-for-others, which is why world peace and harmony are so difficult.

The spiritual Godhood exists not as a spiritual God but as ascending levels of supermaterial Godhoods at the zenith of material evolution, which religion and culture can affirm.

That is how traditional conservatism and human beings can be saved by evolutionary conservatism.

In the Twofold Path the hero can supersede the saint

Tirips is not like the soul other than both having the destination of Godhood, but they define Godhood and the method to Godhood differently and oppositely.

Tirips, or the will to Godhood, is material within the material body and materially activates the material body to evolve within the material world to material/supermaterial Godhood. The soul is said to be non-material and spiritual, and is claimed to be part of the spiritual Godhood that the soul seeks.

Tirips is not Godhood, it is the primal activation to Godhood, it does not intellectually know Godhood, whereas the soul is said to intellectually know Godhood and is a spiritual part of Godhood within the body.

Tirips essentially defines “life” since it is that which activates life within every cell of the body, then outside natural selection and evolution adapt life to what is best for successful survival and reproduction. The soul is a non-material intellectual vision; the beatific vision, like nirvana, is a peak material experience brought on by severe ascetic restrictions of the body and is not a transcendence of the natural material functions.

The ascetic vision of the soul and spiritual Godhood has put up a great spiritual blockade against material life evolving to Godhood. Some, like Nietzsche, thought it was an intentional blockade designed to give power to the spiritual priests, but it was probably more ignorance and misunderstanding.

We can call that ignorance and misunderstanding of Godhood and the soul the groping first attempts at understanding man and God, but that Involutionary Inward Path to the soul or father-within is transformed in the Evolutionary Outward Path of material evolution to ascending levels of real Godhood. We can conservatively retain them both in the Twofold Path.

A new Mass of Celebration needs to be created celebrating the material evolution of life to ascending levels of supermaterial Godhood in the Outward Path, which can be conservatively added to the old sacred Mass of ascetic sacrifice in the traditional Inward Path. In the Twofold Path the hero can supersede the saint.

A Rebirth Of More Than Tragedy (from 2012)

What is closest to representing the Will? Music is not closest to the Will, as Schopenhauer and Nietzsche suggested. The Will or Spirit-Will, or Tirips as I call it, cannot be separated from the object or body which it activates. Tirips is the inward dynamism of the material activation within life activating material life to evolve in the outside world toward Godhood, shaped by outside natural selection and evolution.

Tirips does not reduce the world to mere appearance, as does the will of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche (and most religions), Tirips activates the material-supermaterial world and is never separate from the world of objects, which are its only vehicle to attain Godhood, its sacred goal, by way of evolution.

The idolatry of music, numbers and words has taken us away from the real world---religion, science and art are all guilty of this. It is not the rebirth of tragedy (see Nietzsche), and not the affirmation of science (see various scientists), but the rebirth of the evolving human being which is the central antidote to decline---and that is also central to the rebirth of religion, science, art, and yes, politics.

Blame the Hollywood/New York/Washington media for the destruction of traditional American values and morals

The Hollywood/New York/Washington media is mostly responsible for the war against the traditional values and morals in America. As the demographics changed in America the media changed. The new Hollywood/New York/Washington media slowly gathered power over the former Anglo Saxon dominated news and entertainment industries and then let fly a war against traditional American values and morals, with help from intellectuals in the academies who philosophically supported the destruction, along with the open indulgence of the business world which mainly cared only for making money.

Have you seen what has happened to our young people---with constant encouragement from the ubiquitous media? It's always party time, excessive drinking, constant marijuana use, drug overdose deaths, porn everywhere. Their parents were also soaked in the same Hollywood/New York/Washington media rubbish and were also miss-educated by the same culturally Marxist and hedonistic professors.

So what can we do about it? Can we hope only for more people to become populist-nationalists in the face of a powerful media which hates populist-nationalists and hates all "deplorables" living between the East and West coast? How will we deal with the demographic changes in America when we know that as the demographics change the culture changes?

Cultures can operate for a time with behavior that goes against human nature with such experiments as cultural Marxism and unchecked hedonism but cultures are eventually pulled back by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature to cultures that better reflect real human nature, and humans then work within and adapt to the environments they find themselves living in.

I think social and political philosophy will gradually change as the biological origin of social behavior, which includes human nature, is more accurately understood as being universally kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. Unfortunately this human reality is declared to be “politically incorrect” and even taboo by the deceitful Hollywood/New York/Washington media.

All elements of the demographics in America could then be what they naturally are, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.

I think this will eventually happen if we can keep from being utterly destroyed by the actions and influence of the Hollywood/New York/Washington media.

How intellectuals became overrated a long time ago

Influenced by Aristotle, St. Thomas said, “The desire of man is to know something whole and perfect,” and he said, “ Intellectual natures have a greater affinity to the whole than other beings.” So we see how the the body of people ordained for religious duties and how intellectuals in general became overrated a long time ago, which continues to this day.

The deepest desire of man, the most sacred desire of man is to be something whole and perfect and not merely to know something whole and perfect, and being something whole and perfect is accomplished by materially evolving the mind and the body toward a more whole and perfect being, and not merely intellectually. The human species is not something whole and perfect.

Intellectual's curbed some of their arrogance in the Renaissance and the Enlightenment by emphasizing reason and individualism, but they soon recovered their old arrogance and made a religion out of reason and anointed themselves as the new secular clergy.

Merely arriving at knowledge of things is incomplete knowledge, even mans religious beatitude is only a peak material experience of bliss brought about by strict ascetic discipline, it is not a spiritual experience of God.

If we want to be and know the whole and the perfect we will have to materially evolve our minds and bodies to ascending levels of the whole and perfect in the material and supermaterial world. That is how we arrive at real Godhood.

The conservative way to adapt the symbolic experience of the God within to the Outward Path of material evolution to real supermaterial Godhood

A great respect for conservatism was once shown by Thomas Aquinas when rather than turning to the metaphysical and epistemological philosophy of
the newly rediscovered Aristotle, Aquinas developed a brilliant synthesis of Greek rationalism and Christian doctrine, which probably saved Christianity from being swamped by the Greek philosophers.

As theological materialism transforms the philosophy of traditional religion and philosophy, a great respect is also shown for conservatism by affirming the Twofold Path, the involutionary and evolutionary paths, when the involutionary spiritual path could have been detached as being a great spiritual blockade against the evolutionary path of material evolution to real supermaterial Godhood.

Transcendence-over-function” in religion and philosophy is not real or possible, but we can increasingly understand the functions of nature. The beatific vision, like nirvana, was/is a peak material experience brought on by severe ascetic restrictions of the body, and not a transcendence of the natural material functions, and not an experience of God.
We can indeed immanentize the eschaton, attain Godhood within nature and evolution, when we affirm that evolution moves inevitably in a pattern, even though it has its random elements, and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat, toward higher and higher more effective living forms, all the way to ascending levels Godhood.

But respect for the strong pull of tradition and order, and the commitment to traditional values and ideas, was/is very successful to the survival of human beings and human cultures, as the best of the past is retained. We need a new Mass for the Twofold Path where the ascetic Sacrificial Mass of the spiritual Inward Path can be redeemed by a Mass of Celebration affirming the Outward Path of material evolution to real Godhood, joining the old and new, religion and science, martyrs and heroes.

It will be awkward to turn the big metaphysical and epistemological ship of religious philosophy around and point it in the opposite direction, but the Twofold Path is the conservative way to adapt the past preliminary Inward Path, with its symbolic experience of the God within, to the present Outward Path of material evolution to real supermaterial Godhood.

What would do more than religion or modern politics have done to curb hate?

I know it is politically incorrect to hate anything, but if hate is defined as intense or passionate dislike then I don't mind admitting that I hate modern liberals, who, along with other phony virtue signaling, push their syrup on hate which is usually only an attempt to keep sane people from criticizing their asinine version of liberalism.

Modern liberals know nothing about real human nature, the Media and there corrupted teachers don't even believe there is a biologically derived human nature, they think everything we are is created by the environment or by nurturing, which is really their asinine culturally Marxist version of human life.

I am against the idea of racial supremacy, but the liberal declaration of “hate speech” is often only someone standing up for their own ethnic group, and usually the virtue signaling is promoted by minority ethnic groups who have no problem loudly declaring the supremacy of their own group. There is a big difference between caring about ones ethnic identity and hating other ethnic identities, but these have been carefully linked together by the corrupt academy and the Big Media. If we have to hate something we should hate the diabolical and corrupt taboos against affirming ethnic identity.

That is why ethnopluralism is one of the things featured on this blog as a healthy way to deal with the natural differences and competitions between ethnic groups, not to hate one another but to affirm regions and states set aside for distinct ethnic people and cultures so that they can be what they are. In the U. S. this could be accomplished not by way of radical revolution but through adapting---not overturning---the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states with an ethnopluralism of ethnostates, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.

That would do more than religion or modern politics have done to curb hate.

The individual and the group in art (from 2012)

The centrality of group-selection in developing human ethics, as recently reaffirmed by E. O. Wilson, brings archetypes and myths back into art and culture, and tends to downplay individualism. Heroes are individuals, often with flaws, but they usually defend or affirm the group.

As we return to small states, and even ethnostates, in a world where single-state supremacy, imperialism, ect. crumbles, the character, tone and guiding beliefs of group archetypes and myth will become more relevant.

With ethnostates there will be new myths attached to the old. Sacred art is more than about art only, it is about life and our evolution beyond humans to higher life, and on to Godhood. It is the affirmation of the sacred that defines great art across human history, a theme more constant than the method of affirmation. Folk Art as well as High Art can produce the same affirmation with different levels of skill and sophistication.

Artists have the freedom during creation to produce what they want, which is a freedom that enhances creativity, but later religion and society have the ethical right to accept or reject the work of the individual artists, because life is ultimately more about group effort, survival and evolution than about the hyper-individualism of one artist.

Conservatively overcoming the Great Spiritual Blockade with the Twofold Path

St Thomas and other sages of the “revealed religions” said that evil springs from human nature, based on the idea that “being” or God is non-material and spiritual, and that is the root of the problem I have with their interpretation of human nature and God.

How many traits in the following sociobiological definition of real human nature and the biological origin of social behavior does religion find evil?: Human nature remains genetically and biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. Political orientation, race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation tend to eventually conform to the human nature reflected in this genetic, biological, and sociobiological definition of real human nature.

If we check the first idea, that evil springs from human nature, with the sociobiological definition of real human nature, we see a similarity of conservative values, perhaps with the religious exception to human nature being ethnocentric and xenophobic. Then if we add the definition and interpretation of Godhood from theological materialism, that ascending levels of Godhood are evolved to in the material and supermaterial world, we can not only heal the rift between religion and science, we can stop the Great Spiritual Blockade that the revealed religions have put up against evolving to real Godhood.

The grip of the Great Spiritual Blockade remains, although the religions and philosophies of the great sages have been slowly fading in the West, replaced not with another religion or political philosophy but with the great license of libertarian individualism, or the nothingness of hedonistic nihilism, or in the middle-east with a fundamentalist Islam. Science has tried to remain materialistically neutral which has led to its general social impotence. Modern versions of evolutionary religion or spirituality are often updates of Buddhism dealing with or dismissing the material world using the old perspective of so-called non-material inward bliss and a non-material God, e.g. Ken Wilber.

Theological materialism and the projected Theoevolutionary Church
conservatively overcomes the Great Spiritual Blockade with the Twofold Path, by including the great sages of the Blockade in the Involutionary Inward Path to the symbolic-experience of the Father Within, even as it is transformed in the Evolutionary Outward Path of material and supermaterial evolution to ascending levels of real Godhood. The old God or Father Within experienced as ascetic bliss is included but Godhood is seen as attained in reality through the Outward Path of material and supermaterial evolution. Science and religion can live in harmony with identity politics and an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all as we unblock the Great Spiritual Blockade so that we may get on with evolving toward unending levels of Godhood in the cosmos.

Speculation on why we need new religious and scientific metaphors

Matter is energy, but energy is matter, do we really want to rate one higher than the other? Yes. Energy comes from matter. There would be no energy without matter. Spiritualist's turn the world upside-down to claim that their religio/philosophical world is not material.

The “field” which governs the particle seems to be created by the interaction of material forces. The field is not spiritual. Energy, frequency, and vibration in the universe are not the secrets of the universe, it is matter, discovered and undiscovered, which drives these forces.

Non-physical phenomena?” There are only the forces developed by physical phenomena. In the same way gravity or electric forces are not spiritual, they are brought about by material objects.

The only “duality” I see, which is not a duality, is the inward dynamism of the material activation of life activating material life to evolve in the outside world, shaped by outside natural selection and evolution. This material inward activation is a “force” but not a non-physical force.

Facts are connected in a complex structure, we need new religious and scientific metaphors to explain them. The material will to Godhood, or Tirips, is our connection to the earth but also our connection to the universe, and it contains the activation toward fulfilling our material/supermaterial purpose: to evolve in the material world to ascending levels of Godhood---it probably exists in every cell of the body.

What happened to our culture?

While searching through the cable and streaming channels looking for something to watch---other than old movies I've seen many times---and as usual finding only nihilism, pornography, or sensationalism, I asked myself again what happened to our culture? I'm not advocating boring movies with homilies and cliches, enduring standards can often be absorbed by portraying human depravities. The English used to make movies from the novels of Scott, Thackery, Dickens, Trollope and Austin. And American's tried their hand at making movies from the novel's of Hawthorne, Melville, Twain, and Faulkner, and of course their was the populist John Wayne movies. But now it's only screenplays written by truly awful writers with no real understanding of the normative standards of Western history other than to attack what little they understand of Western standards.

And we see what this kind of Hollywood garbage has done to our young people who grew up with it. They sit around playing ultra violent video games, sending obscene selfies on their smart phones, smoking marijuana, going to socialist Bernie Sanders rally's, and whenever possible having sex, with either gender. What a heinous thing to do to a people? Why was this done to America?

Hollywood became an evil genius at destroying traditional Western culture and was very successful in promoting and establishing their own degenerate garbage culture in America---and getting very rich in the process. But saying “Hollywood” is really saying the producers of Hollywood, it is they who are most responsible for the nihilism, pornography, and sensationalism that has ruined American culture---although much blame has to go to those who let this happen to America.

Hollywood is dominated by people who either refuse or are unable to conform to the dominate culture---which was at least a watered-down Christian culture. They proceeded to tear down the traditional culture every chance they got, and since they dominated the media, they had many chances to do it. No wonder puritanical men arise feeling like gallant knights saving damsels in distress. The problem now is that the damsels have been so thoroughly indoctrinated by Hollywood that they don't even know they are in distress, at least not until they find that they have to enter a substance abuse treatment program---and even then Hollywood profits from the bad publicity.

Many of us are thoroughly sick of Hollywood/New York show-business, but things will probably become more corrupt and rotten. If in the future our country separates into a constitutionally valid ethnopluralism of ethnostates, equivalent to our present regions and states, where the rights of the states can be protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, chosens, and money grubbers by a light federalism---then Hollywood could be curbed. Hollywood and California could debauch themselves as they please, but may not be welcomed elsewhere.

Godhood and religion are not dead, they have been misunderstood and wrongly defined

What the traditional view of God is really saying is, everything is nothing and nothing is everything, because their God is non-material and non-corporeal when in reality nothing is non-material and non-corporeal, even ideas are nothing without the material and corporeal objects they define, which requires material and corporeal minds to do the defining. Even the energy fields that supposedly "govern" the particle are created by the interaction of material forces. The energy field is not spiritual. Gravity or electric forces are not spiritual, they are brought about by interactions between material objects.

But contrary to Nietzsche and others this does not mean that God and religion are dead, it means that Godhood and religion have been misunderstood and wrongly defined. Everything is something and something is everything when material and corporeal objects are not left out of the definition of the sacred as they were in the traditional, non-material, non-corporeal, spiritual, view of Godhood.

There is nothing other than the something of material life, and supermaterial Godhood is materially evolved to in the material and corporeal world. This sacred path to real Godhood is actually blocked by the traditional non-material and non-corporeal definition of God and religion. The ascetic experience of God was a peak material experience of bliss derived from overcoming or blocking all material desires. That spiritual blockade could therefore even be called evil as being the path away from Godhood, but it is better thought of as first attempts by ascetics to see and understand the ascending levels Godhood materially evolved to in the real material and corporeal world.

Saving Art With Transvalued Religion (from 2012)

Plato and other religious sages before him led to the revolt against the material object, which over time led to a revolt against Plato and the sages and their objectless non-material world, which led to non-sacred modern art objects in themselves, with no reference even to real representation. What a revolt!

Plato and other religious sages began with the idea that sense experience cannot be real because the real was said to be non-material, nonperishable, and unchanging, which was the audacious claim that set mankind on a path away from real objects and real sense experience, which was a Great Spiritual Blockade against the world.

Science more or less trans-valued this spiritual blockade back to the material world, and Nietzsche utterly rejected it. But the way to keep religion in art, and to revive real representation, is to understand that Godhood is the sacred goal of material and supermaterial evolution. Evolutionary Realism can then be confirmed, and not unrecognizable objects as an extreme revolt against the Platonic world free of real material objects. The path of sacred art and religion is material evolution to Godhood.

But we can keep the Platonic world of the great religions in the Involutionary Inward Path to the symbolic God Within, but this object-less world is transvalued from Plato and the founding religious sages and seen as the useful mirror of real material Godhood reached in the Evolutionary Outward Path.

The academic world and the Media left and right are missing the obvious solution to the problem of identity politics: why?

Lack of courage? Lack of reason? Yes, but ironically it is the very knowledge they shun of the biological origin of social behavior, considered taboo and politically incorrect, that initiates their shunning of identity politics: they don't want to lose their politically correct reputations and the comfortable livelihood on which their families depend as a consequence of publicly affirming the the biological origin of social behavior.

Identity politics” has come foreword again as it naturally has throughout human history because cultures can operate for a time with behavior that goes against human nature, which is primarily kin and ethnic centered, with such experiments as the cultural Marxism that now rules the academic world and the Media, but cultures are eventually pulled back by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature to cultures that better reflect real human nature, and humans then work within and adapt to the environments they find themselves living, and very slowly change.

The reality is that identity politics demonstrates cultures being pulled back by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature which remains genetically and biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. So race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation tend to eventually conform to the human nature reflected in identity politics.

The obvious solution to the diversity of bio-cultural identities in the world, each with its own natural urge to perpetuate itself and establish its own culture, is not to try to jam everyone together in the same territory or to demand a creed of equality or multiculturalism, but to establish ethnostates for all distinctive groups and then protect them from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers, with a light federalism. For example, an ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions could be established, legally, in the United States adapted from our constitutional separation of powers and states.

But you may have to lose one of your automobiles, one of your smart TV'S, and perhaps the company of a few relatives, in the short term.

Which truths can form the normative consciousness of the literature and art of theological materialism?

The always lucid Russell Kirk said that the aim of literature was to awaken us to truth and beauty through the moral imagination, to wake us to truth through symbol, parable, images etc rather than through discursive reason, to help form the “normative consciousness” of what T. S. Eliot called the “permanent things.” That philosophy can apply to preserving any culture, it suggests conservatism in general. The sacred may not be portrayed exactly the same for all people, that is what the separation of powers, states and people is all about---but the sacred remains.

Which beauty, which normative consciousness, and which truths can form the normative consciousness of the literature and art of theological materialism? I prefer to think in terms of “sacred art,” or the “affirmation of the sacred” as leading the philosophy of literature and art, as it does all of culture in theological materialism.

High and low art can both affirm the sacred in their own ways---in the best civilizations they tended to do that (Ancient Greece, Rome, and India, the High Middle Ages, and England from 1688 to 1832). Today both high and low art create works that are inferior because they are both basically against any moral position, although some low art still clings to tradition.

As the evolutionary scientists say, morality has always been marked by its conscious or unconscious affirmation of what is successful in survival and reproduction. In theological materialism high morality defines and affirms the zenith of success as life evolving toward ascending levels of Godhood. Literature and art can affirm this best not by excessively moralizing but by creatively illuminating the moral imagination.

The sacred literature and art of theological materialism can point with its moral imagination toward applying evolutionary realism, because realism most clearly affirms the ultimate evolutionary sacred goal of life.

The sacred goal of theological materialism

The traditional religious definition or meaning of Godhood and the path to Godhood was discovered and designed by ascetics who misinterpreted God as a “spiritual” God and a spiritual experience when their experience of God was a peak material experience of bliss derived from overcoming or blocking all material desires.

Desire is directed toward something deeper than itself. The deeper need of survival evolved the pleasure experience from eating, just as the deeper goal of evolving to Godhood activates the desire for reproduction and survival. Ascetics were therefore mistaken in defining material desires as only causing pain, suffering, and sin. It is only through purposeful material desires that we can attain Godhood in material evolution.

Life desires success in survival and reproduction, and the greatest and highest success in survival and reproduction is also the highest good, which is to evolve to ascending levels of Godhood, while adapting to outside natural selection and evolution.

In theological materialism Godhood and religion remain but the definition or the meaning of Godhood and the path to Godhood changes, and that path to Godhood is through material and supermaterial evolution.  So the central task of religion as well as science is to aid in the sacred material and supermaterial evolution toward Godhood.

This means that the “first cause” is not God but is the material activation within life (Tirips) to ascending levels of Godhood, or the greatest and highest success in survival and reproduction.

A Revitalized View of the Sacred in Art (from 2011)

Richard Wagner thought that the Ancient Greeks had created the perfect art-work, the total-art-work, (Gesamtkunstwerk), which combined music, dance, and poetry, best seen in the tragedies of Aeschylus. Later this total-art split into various factions and specialties for various reasons, which Wagner said was related to decline.

I would rather use the term “total-religion” than total art in the sense that the word “culture” comes from “cultus” or cult. This has (or at least once had) religious dimensions, because culture refers to the sanctification of daily life, architecture, clothing, art, literature and music.

We seem to instinctively know the principles of beauty, as balance, clarity, moderation, simplicity, things handsome, pretty---these are classical values. Mozart did not invent many of the patterns he used, he improved on the work of past composers. This defines Ordered Evolution.

Art can grasp the evolutionary pattern toward higher forms of beauty, toward Perfect Beauty, which defines the ascending levels of Godhood by way of material and supermaterial evolution. Truth gives meaning to Beauty---Godhood is first a Supreme Object or objects and only secondarily a supreme definition. This view can help us move away from abstract thinking in art and back to the concrete, back to the material, back to the object, but also forward to the supermaterial.

Evolutionary Realism in the art of the projected Theoevolutionary Church can provide art content, with the new yet very old narrative of life evolving from the simple to the complex, toward Absolute Beauty and Godhood.

Using “moral imagination” in art (Russell Kirk and Burke's term) can keep moral art from becoming didactic and boring. The greatest art showed this creative moral imagination. This grounds art in the affirmation of the sacred, but with a revitalized view of the sacred.

Economic nationalism and populism are rising now but if birth and immigration trends continue in democracies we will come to the next survival movement of an ethnopluralism of ethnostates

That-which-must-not-be-mentioned, the biological origin of social behavior, is showing its power as economic nationalism and populism are rising in the West, with the victorious Trump phenomenon and with the Brexit withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

But while democracies are now voting for economic nationalism and populism, statistical data relating to the population and particular groups within it, or demographics, show us that economic nationalism and populism is largely a white ethnic movement which instinctively knows that it is dying faster than being born.

If birth and immigration trends continue as they have been in democracies, economic nationalism and populism will soon be turned away by non-white ethnic voters who tend to vote for government programs that enhance themselves---and the biological origin of social behavior is usually a zero-sum game in which one groups gain is equivalent to another’s loss.

So the present economic nationalism and populist movement is a stop gap, a temporary way of dealing with a problem in democracies that satisfies mainly a white survival need, which will soon be outvoted in democracies.

But that-which-must-not-be-mentioned, the biological origin of social behavior, is strong and the next movement on behalf of survival will probably be a movement toward regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates.

The beauty and fairness of an ethnopluralism of ethnostates is that it overcomes the zero-sum game in which one groups gain is equivalent to another’s loss. For example, in the U. S. this could be accomplished not by way of radical revolution but through adapting---not overturning---the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states. Each group tends to be better off in the long run living in their own natural way in ethnostates, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.

Life-affirming new creations are needed for old musical forms (from 2011)

The hard bop blues of, say, Art Blakey, make you feel better than the beautiful sentimental adagios of Miles Davis which can make you feel even bluer. After a glass of wine who can beat Diane Krall's "Quiet Nights?"

Classical composers were usually composing for a world of aristocrats, which is why the music could be so excellent, but that is not our world today. Bach is eternal, but we need serious modern composers. Atonal music has been a damaging farce, like much of modern art---hundreds of years of Western music was stopped. Wagner's classical-romantic ethos needed to be extended in tonal not atonal Western forms rather than destroyed following the World Wars. “Twilight of the Gods”? Why not another birth? (see "Can There be Great Composers Anymore?")

Rock? Mostly goalless anarchy, or pure hedonism. Hip Hop? It's base is violent anti-white black racism. Country music? White boys trying to hold on to some dignity in a world that denigrates them, but usually lost in Celtic drunkenness. Folk and ethnic revival? Holds promise but hides totally in the past.

Modern life-affirming new creations are needed for all these old musical forms.

How I see the counter-march back through our institutions

Many professors in our colleges and universities have been indoctrinators of cultural Marxism, which, along with postmodern philosophy, has been a movement of influential liberals in the academic, artistic and cultural world determined to corrupt and destroy Western traditions. They intellectually marched through our institutions as their communist hero Antonio Gramsci told them to do with great success. And they have had the Big Media on their side promoting (really brainwashing) all of us with cultural Marxism.

As the New Right suggested awhile back, we need to counter-march back through our institutions, which I say should be a march with knowledge of the biological origin of social behavior (see sociobiology), knowledge that is now for the most part considered a taboo subject. But how are we to increase our troops and intellectually march back through our institutions when any objection to cultural Marxism and the corruption and destruction of Western traditions is labeled racism, discrimination, antisemitism, etc.?

You can see how impatient radicals are born out of nefarious blockades against their causes. But I think knowledge of the biological origin of social behavior will prevail without radical revolution because it is at the root of real human nature. Cultures are eventually pulled back, slowly or quickly, by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature to cultures that better reflect our real kin and ethnic-centered human nature, and humans then work within and adapt to the environments they find themselves living.

The liars, corrupters, and destroyers of Western traditions and Western people eat impatient radicals for breakfast. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions for all ethnic groups could be established, legally, without radical revolution, in the United States from our constitutional separation of powers and states, and then protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers, by a light federalism. That is how I see the counter-march back through our institutions.

Why I don't have much time for Dugin

Is Dugin a Traditionalist?” Andreas Umland and Anton Shekhovtsov asked in their review of Neo-Eurasianism and Perennial Philosophy (The Russian Review, 2009). They decided that Aleksandr Dugin was only using traditionalism or giving his own interpretation to the authentic traditionalist school of Rene Guenon. Even though I don't approve of the imperialistic West-hating Neo-Eurasianism of Dugin, I say, it is well that Dugin try to breathe some life into the anti-life school of Guenon.

As Umland and Shekhovtsov said the traditionalist school repudiates all achievements of modernity. Traditionalist's believe that a “perennial wisdom” or “primordial Tradition” was revealed to humanity during a “Golden Age” (the Hindu Satya Yuga). As ages (Yugas) superseded each other, the world slid into decadence, and “perennial wisdom,” as a single “spiritual language,” gradually disappeared from people’s life. In our current age—the Era of Vice (Kali Yuga)—the ancient cultural foundations of human existence have degenerated completely: only traces of the “primordial Tradition” remain, and they survive only in certain world religions that traditionalists understood to be dialects of the lost single “spiritual language.”

The big problem with that worldview is that there is no non-material spiritual world, there is only ascetic interpretations derived from spiritual language and strict ascetic disciplines that overcome or block all material desires, which bring feelings of great bliss to the ascetic that is exaggeratedly described as a spiritual union with God. The inward God of the beatific vision of Christianity, or the Samadhi in Hinduism, was/is an ascetic peak material experience and not a spiritual union with God.

If we take the word “metastasis,” the spread of something, like a disease, from an initial site to a different or secondary site, and apply it to the split between the material and the spiritual, we can see the numerous problems this led to, not the least of which was, ironically and tragically, the decline of religion.

The liberals and progressives more or less rejected religion mainly because Western science could find no trace of the spiritual or a spiritual God. And they were right. But they were wrong to reject religion and Godhood.

Rather than killing religion and God or going backward to a traditionalist school which repudiates all the great Western achievements of modernity, we might have gone back to the point of the metastasis and rejected the the split between the material and the spiritual. There is no non-material spiritual God but we can reach ascending levels of supermaterial Godhood by way of material and supermaterial evolution. As seen in the philosophy of theological materialism, real Godhood is reached by material evolution and not by the symbolic experience of bliss reached in ascetic practices.

So given Dugin's combined imperialistic West-hating Neo-Eurasianism and his version of the anti-life Traditionalist School, I don't have much time for Dugin.

The maddening irony of the modern liberal/Marxist fraud is that it is driven by the very biological will to power that the liberalism denies

Modern liberals are stupid in their philosophy but dangerous in their politics. Our colleges and universities literally brainwashed their students in cultural Marxism---which liberalism became in their dirty hands---along with help from their more powerful cronies in the Media. This led to the present asinine fraudulent impeachment proceedings against president Donald Trump.

The big wrong of modem liberalism and Marxism was to deny, block, or to be just plain ignorant of the biological origin of social behavior, while pushing and promoting instead the ignorance that we are born with a blank slate with the mind having no innate traits, and that we are free from biological determinism with the environment and nurturing making us what we are, not biology.

The maddening irony of this modern liberal/Marxist fraud is that it is driven by the very biological will to power that the liberalism denies. The liberal/Marxist fraud corruptly became an attack on real human nature, which is biologically and genetically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of selection.

So now we have the split in America today between those who were brainwashed in our colleges and universities and by the Media, and those who managed not to be brainwashed, which has become a split between populist nationalism and modern liberalism. Will populism or some other “ism” overcome modern liberalism? Will we limp along in an increasingly decadent, degenerating, and declining world?

One thing is certain, cultures can operate for a time with behavior that goes against real human nature, with such experiments as Marxism, but cultures are eventually pulled back by the biological and genetic leash of real human nature to cultures that better reflect real human nature, and humans then work within and adapt to the environments they find themselves living in.

This suggests that if real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. For example, in the U. S. this could be accomplished not by way of radical revolution but through adapting---not overturning---the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states, with the ethnostates protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.

Organizing the natural sequence of altruistic genetic priorities of real human nature

Individual, kin, ethnic group, region, state, nation, world, universe, Godhood---this is how a natural subsidiary can harmonize with the natural sequence of the genetically-derived altruistic priorities of real human nature.

When political philosophy and religion synchronize with this sequence then we can have nations with light federal systems protecting the variety and independence of decentralized regions and states or ethnostates, perhaps aided by objective international research centers, as once described by the courageous Raymond Cattell.

When this philosophy is bonded in a religion dedicated to life and to all groups materially evolving to ascending levels of Godhood, then we will be approaching the next complete, whole, and long-lasting worldview.

But human beings tend to be more a lying and scheming species than a wise species and long-term religions and philosophies are often blocked or overturned by powerful, short-term, often selfish people, or by the creative founders who are untalented in public relations or salesmanship. Luck, fate, and history also apply. We all do what we can do.

We can have Godhood and religion without the anti-life illusions of Vedic/Platonic cosmogony

It is Maya that is the "illusion" or mirror of the universe, it is the world that is real, and the “God” seen in the mirror inwardly is unreal, but is experienced materially as real bliss when all the material desires are gotten rid of by the ascetics, which is a decidedly anti-life path.

The illusionary inward God might help us understand real Godhood evolved to in the material-supermaterial world. The inward God dissolves in the outward God, not the other way around. The evolution of life has ascending levels of Godhood, whereas the mirror inward God dissolves into illusion.

God is not one, that is Maya or "illusion," there are many Gods in Godhood. Even though the most evolved Gods may have great power in the world, the Gods do not appear to govern the world, the material activation of life within life, or Tirips, working in conjunction with natural evolution, govern the worlds.

We can have have Godhood and religion without the anti-life illusions of Vedic/Platonic cosmogony.
