Conservatism can affirm both gradual change and drastic change

Reading an recent article about Carlyle in Chronicles caused me to realize that Conservatism can affirm both gradual change and drastic change. The position of Burke and Kirk of accepting only gradual change as ethical is of course the preferred default method of change, but when you look at real history drastic change happens a lot and even seems sometimes necessary and realistic to correct a worn out and corrupt world---and it happens in biological evolution too. This realization doesn't change my preference for gradual change, especially since revolutions often make things worse, but it solves that nagging feeling I have always had with conservatism accepting only gradual change.

The Will to Godhood (Tirips) manifests itself through evolution

The Will to Godhood (Tirips) manifests itself through evolution, and its goal is the ongoing realization of perfected being, physically, intellectually and morally. The-will-to-evolve-toward-Godhood, or Tirips, is an inward, purely physical, activation working along with the shaping of outside evolution and selection. But even without acknowledging this inward purpose we can see that evolution has been moving toward more efficient forms, more complexity, with occasional stops and side-turnings along the way.

What is the best way to reach these goals?​ Bonding with a religion of theological materialism. Theological materialism (and the projected Theoevolutionary Church) will affirm the mission and path of the Third Covenant, the Cosmic Covenant of the Evolutionary Outward Path, which revitalizes Primordial Tradition, Christianity, Hinduism etc. by once again affirming the First Covenant of genetic and biological qualities within our material evolution to supermaterial Godhood as applied to the Outward Path of material evolution to supermaterial Godhood, yet also, as in the Second Covenant, this is applied to all people, all nations, all races, all people, preferably living in their own protected states or ethnostates with access to knowledge of the material evolution to Godhood. That is the synthesis of the Three Covenants in theological materialism.

I have written of the Three Covenants explaining how in the First Covenant of Primordial Tradition the Spirit and Soul of the Inward Path were understood as existing in the blood, that is, as being passed on only racially and tribally to a chosen eg. (Jewish) or noble (Aryan) people, etc.. Then Jesus Christ (and Eastern masters) brought the knowledge that the spirit and Soul-Within need not be understood and affirmed only racially or tribally but could be understood and followed by any race, any people, universally, provided they were taught the proper way to see or experience the God Within; Christianity said we were “Chosen” through faith in Christ not chosen by blood. That was the Second Covenant.

The Third Covenant acknowledges the biological origin of our social behavior which can end the intellectual separation between political ideologies and religious covenants, pointing toward the religious/political/cultural solution of the ethnopluralism hypothesis, often written about here. It is a conservative transformation---not revolution---that can bring about an ethnopluralism of ethnostates, which is the sociopolitical or political/cultural structure most in harmony with kin-centered and ethnocentric real human nature which evolved many thousands of years ago and remains with us today. Each ethnostate, each ethnic group, each race, can have access to knowledge of our sacred material evolution to supermaterial Godhood, and can pursue that sacred evolution in their own way in their own protected states, in the variety that is conducive to evolution, perhaps aided by nonpartisan international sociobiological research centers, as Raymond Cattell suggested.

The forced imperialism, supremacism, and multiculturalism of the world will give way to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates, in line with real kin and ethnic-centered human nature. I think the real debate in the U.S. should be over how we can conservatively adapt the Constitutional separation of of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. Cooperative competition between small ethnostates and regions, protected internally and externally from imperialism, supremacism, and multiculturalism by some sort of federalism can bring the variety and creativity that evolution prefers, as we all materially evolve toward Godhood.

All races are “systemically racist” when human behavior is seen from the realistic biological origin of social behavior. The Black Lives Matter movement which has been loudly accusing all whites of being racist is driven by the very same systemic black racism, and we are not going to solve any racial problems until we admit this.

The biological origin of social behavior which was introduced with Darwin and later sociobiology showed us that real human nature is and has always been genetically kin and ethnic centered (ie. racist and ethnocentric) with group selection or ethnic selection as the main unit of successful survival and reproduction, followed by individual selection. America has not successfully united different races and ethnic groups, we are naturally fragmenting into a nation of competing races in a zero game where the gains of one ethnic group is offset by the losses of another ethnic group, with much cruel social discord in the process. But all is not lost.

As one historian put it, what formerly divided us can put us back together again. It would be far more realistic to talk of un-assimilating differences rather than about superiority/inferiority. A true natural rights or civil rights movement would promote ethnostates and an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates could be established, legally, in the United States with our constitutional separation of powers and states.

The central purpose of power

Making Peace in the violent world is best way for the long flow of ordered material evolution toward Godhood to take place, which is the central purpose of life and therefore the central purpose of power. Wars slow down or even destroy sacred ordered evolution.  Correctly defining human nature is a greatest help in making peace in the sequence of power. The biological origin of our social behavior suggests that ethnopluralism is the sociopolitical or political/cultural structure most in harmony with kin-centered and ethnocentric real human nature which evolved many thousands of years ago and remains with us today.

Avoiding Genocide

In an article in Chronicles, Feb 2020 called “The New American Genocide,” Pedro Gonzalez writes: “The political hostility of the United States today is directed at no one more than America’s European-descended whites—the group whose ancestors are largely responsible for settling, building, and defending this country...According to the United Nations definition there are “two main elements” of genocide in practice, and they can occur either “in the context of an armed conflict” or in “a peaceful situation.” The first element is “mental,” defined as the “intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such.” The second is the “physical” element, which is broken into five different acts, ranging from the outright killing of group members to deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part..It is a strange and unfortunate thing that this framework is increasingly useful for understanding the plight of whites in America as a group targeted for deliberate cultural dispossession and physical discrimination. Of course, a rebuttal here is that we have not yet reached the point where whites are being persecuted enough to warrant such an assertion. But then it would seem we must hold our tongues until that awful fate befalls whites...” Then Gonzalez goes on to list many examples of discrimination against whites and against white history that we all have seen exemplified lately with “critical race theory” etc. etc.

I agree with Gonzalez, but I take the even even deeper view and see the biological origin of social behavior behind all the ideologies and social schemes now adding up to an assault by nonwhites on the whole Western world and on the white people who created white Western culture. Nonwhites are coming after Whites more openly and undisguised every day.

I believe that the the biological origin of social behavior and real human nature, which is genetically kin and ethnic centered, leads naturally to regionalism, localism, and eventually an ethnopluralism of ethnostates, and so the sanest and most humane way (“equitable”) I can see to deal with the biological origin of social behavior and what we all are is for all ethnic groups or races, black, brown, red, white, or yellow to eventually form into an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. A federalism of the American variety with strong states rights can work for future ethnostates. The Constitution certainly gives the states independence and freedom, especially with the Tenth Amendment, which means that radical solutions such as supremacism, genocide, radical revolution or secession are not necessary.

What we require in religion and political philosophy

We require that real human nature and the natural laws discovered by intuition and proven over time by science be included in religion and political philosophy, with a religion and political philosophy that admits the biological origin of human social behavior. Then we require the conservative principle that reform should repair, not tear down established cultures when working to establish a religion and political philosophy that admits the biological origin of human social behavior.

For example, the biological origin of social behavior and real human nature, which is genetically kin and ethnic centered, leads naturally to regionalism, localism, and eventually an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all ethnic groups or races, black, brown, red, white, or yellow. When ethnostates are formed in the U.S. an overall nationalism may still be necessary to help protect the various ethnostates against big marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc. This is how reform in the U.S can repair our federalism, not tear it down. This is where conservatism meets ethnostatism, an ethnopluralism for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with the thrust of the new nationalism, federalism, and ethnostates concerned with self-preservation and evolution rather than global dominance. I would say my political philosophy is Russell Kirk modified by Wilmot Robertson, that is, I give importance to earlier ancestral genetic, ethnic, racial connections—which has been left out of conservatism, at least since William Buckley read it out of modern American conservatism---like building a house without a foundation. Eventually ethnostates

Betsy Clarke ended a review in Chronicles on the history of secession movements in the U.S. by saying: “What might be desirable is more regional autonomy within the current constitutional system. We see this flexibility currently in sanctuary cities, states’ marijuana legalization—a throwback to nullification, albeit with federal acquiescence—and individual state environmental standards. So things are likely to bump along as they always have. Perhaps the outcome is not really in doubt at all.”

I affirm the legal way to arrive at an ethnopluralism of ethnostates that synchronize or conform to real human nature. I think the instinctive and logical social outcome of discovering and defining real human nature, which is biologically kin-centered and ethnic-centered, would naturally lead to regionalism, localism, general conservative values, eventually ethnostates, and finally, if we're wise, an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red.

Regional autonomy within the current constitutional system, with a federalism designed to keep ethnostates safe from marauders, seems like the way to begin to save America, and indeed save the Western world. Ethnostates won't happen soon, culturally affirming the biological origin of social behavior still lags far behind, but I have no doubt that if real human nature is allowed to be what it is it will lead to regionalism, localism, and eventually ethnostates.

The common good-group selection morality of the Founding Fathers connects with real kin and ethnic-centered human nature

Uncourageous and dishonest scholars have interpreted the morality of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence as mainly promoting equality, but the Founders understood that the main symbol of American life was the common good, individualism was not the main symbol. And the common good relates to group selection.

Historical life is biological life and biological life is the foundation of human nature, and human nature is being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group selection as the primary unit of successful selection.

Modern liberal and neoconservative intellectuals (and even many real conservatives) do not admit that human nature is at root biased toward kin and ethnic group (although some of them, like Leo Strauss promote their own group, however subtlety, over other groups) even while claiming to speak the “universal” truth in promoting an “American creed” or a “propositional nation” of universal "reason," which is in fact biased against the Germanic or Anglo-Saxon roots of the American order.

Did Strauss have a bias against traditional conservatism because he feared the rise of a future volkish German-type revolution and he therefore emphasized his propositional nation over (volkish) conservatism? If he did have such a bias it is a bias that a great philosopher should not have had. It is a bias that probably led to the marauding neoconservatives trampling over the traditions of other nations.

We need to love and protect our own groups, states and nations, as human nature and our human instincts intend us to do, but we also need to think and move beyond the human species toward evolving future and better species, all the way to Godhood. Racism has been exclusively defined in the U.S and the West as the evil hatred of all races other than your own race and the evil belief in the superiority of ones own race. But human nature systematically evolved to prefer kin and ethnic group because those traits were more successful in survival and reproduction for individuals and groups. Even altruism, being for others, was created as the preference for kin and ethnic group; altruism obviously weakens as we move out toward universalism, which is the main reason why communism, socialism, and globalism don't work well. Real human nature has always been genetically kin and ethnic centered, its the default position taken automatically without active consideration, group selection or ethnic selection has always been the main unit of successful survival and reproduction.

Negative racism could be called the hatred of races other than your own race, and positive would be the love of ones own race. But neither the left nor the conventional conservative right will consider racism as being anything other than evil, which is really saying that real human nature is evil; that attitude will never save anyone, and certainly won't stop racism. Will Fourth Generation War Eventually Lead to Ethnostates?

I think William Lind is right in his assessment of our having a crisis of the legitimacy of the state. “Fourth Generation War Comes to a Theater Near You.

Lind writes: “This crisis varies greatly in intensity from one state to another, but almost everywhere we see people in growing numbers transfer their primary loyalty away from the state to non-state entities: race, religion, ideology, or political causes such as animal rights, etc. Many of those people, who would never fight for their state, are willing, even eager, to fight for their new primary loyalty. The consequence is that the state loses the monopoly on war it claimed at Westphalia. As van Creveld says, the key change in the Fourth Generation is not how war is fought (although that does change), but who fights and what they fight for.”

Lind goes on to say: “We threw away our domination in three great Western civil wars: World War I, World War II, and the Cold War. Now, the West is just one contending culture among many, the state to which the West gave birth is failing everywhere, and the questions of ultimate meaning that modernity discarded are returning to haunt its senescence.”

Lind asks: “So, is the future of the American state hopeless? Probably. I can see three possible outcomes to the crisis of legitimacy of the American state.

The first is that the dynasty falls and a competent new establishment class replaces it, one that can make the federal government work for everyone and that ceases to wage ideological war on its own people. In theory, this is possible, but I see no signs of it happening, nor any forces on the horizon that are capable of doing it. The system is so loaded against third parties that this route is effectively blocked. The Democrats are hopelessly in thrall to cultural Marxism because their base either believes in it, profits from it, or both. President Trump has shown himself incapable of remaking the Republican Party in his anti-Establishment, politically incorrect image. Could his successor do it, perhaps someone such as Tucker Carlson? Hope springs eternal, but hope is also a fool.

A second possibility is that both left and right could see the horrors that widespread Fourth Generation War on American soil would bring, step back, and work together to avoid it. There is a way to do that, by returning to American federalism as it was practiced before 1860.

When the Constitution was drafted and ratified, none of the men involved ever imagined that life in, say, Massachusetts and South Carolina would become the same. Still less did they conceive that the Constitution gave the federal government authority to make them the same. Were we to return to their understanding of federalism, we could maintain the union while accommodating cultural differences. Some states would be right, others left. If you found yourself being governed by people you despised, you would not need to fight. You could simply move. We would still be one country for foreign policy, defense, macroeconomics, and infrastructure. But leftists would be free to misrule the West Coast to their hearts’ content, while conservatives enjoyed the neighborliness and good food of the Old South.

The third and most likely possibility is that the country breaks apart in widespread Fourth Generation War. Welcome to Libya, Syria, and a growing portion of the world.

If the third possibility becomes reality and America as we know it disappears from the world’s landscape, its vanishing will be part of something larger: the end of the modern age that gave birth to the state.

Can the times be redeemed? Probably not, but as men of the West, we must try."

If a multi-faceted super-intelligent AI was programmed without the bias of political correctness

Intellectual debaters trying to determine whether super-intelligent AI will be constructive or destructive were surprised to find that Microsoft's Tay AI started giving ethical advice that was deemed “racist.”

This got me thinking about the present bias against the findings of sociobiology seen not only in the humanities but in the sciences as well. If a multi-faceted super-intelligent AI was programmed without the bias of political correctness would it be quickly pulled like Microsoft’s Tay AI if it started posting that the biological origin of social behavior ethically leads to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red?

Big changes will be required if the United States and the West is going to keep from falling

So what can we do?

Businesses like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Apple exert state-like monopoly power over America’s minds and markets, and they simply cannot be allowed to endure. The scale at which they exist is incompatible with a free society. In America, we integrate innovation into our values and traditions; we are not content to be re-formed in the image dictated to us by mega-corporations.

Second, we must extricate the United States from multilateral institutions and trade agreements that hand over our national sovereignty to anti-American, globalist apparatchiks. In the U.N., the WTO, the WHO, and others, America is just one of several voting members. America does not wait around to submit to the diktats of some globalist organization whose members hate us. We want out. Bilateral trade agreements are the future” (The Federalist, 2021)

Then I believe we need to gradually realize the reality that multicultural multi-ethnic societies just don't work. The twenty first century could be the century of the rise of ethnostatism. The strengths and weaknesses of Russian and Western conservatism

Russian conservatism and Western conservatism have their strengths and weaknesses. Both don't respect science enough do mainly to their religious views; this means that both don't respect the evolutionary biological origin of social behavior which includes the origin of religion, although Russian conservatives rightly affirm ethnic nationalism. Russian conservatives are too enamored with imperialism, and Western conservatives love money, although the free enterprise capitalism is superior.

My view of the absolute importance of human evolution kept me away from the brilliant seduction of the Traditionalist School which is where the Alt-right turned. Many have now gone over to the school of Guenon, Evola, and the Russian Dugin, and embraced a non-populist, old spiritual religious, imperialist, hierarchy of rule, and have downplayed or even rejected the idea of science and evolutionary progress. Why didn't the Alt-right feature more Western geniuses, men like the brilliant British/American psychologist Raymond Cattell, or the great Neo-Darwinist field of sociobiology, rather than converting to the West-disparaging Russian imperialist Aleksandr Dugin and his Traditionalist School teachers, Guénon and Evola who did not find science (a jewel of the West) nearly as important as Eastern spiritualism (a jewel of the East).

Evolutionary conservatism believes that if real kin and ethnic-centered human nature was allowed to be what it is, it would naturally lead to regionalism, localism, general conservative values, eventually ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc., and defended by a defensive federalism. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates could be established legally in the United States with our constitutional separation of powers and states.

The goal of evolving to Godhood need not deprive us of either science or religion. When Godhood is seen as a naturalistic and theological goal, the goal of evolution, then biology and theology need not settle for the empty spiritualism. Nature and philosophy can be seen as life materially evolving toward ascending levels of Godhood, and we can all get on with the religious goal of of evolving toward Godhood.

DC Comics usher in a gay white superman

 “Superman Comes Out," read the headline, and it was not a joke. I'll bet if superman was black this would not have happened. This is a “woke” attack on a hero of the white man. There seems to be no limit on how much humiliation white men will take from these minority-driven cultural and racial attacks. Today white men have no real defense against their growing dispossession.

Conservatism was the movement to sustain the community in all ways and to ensure the community’s long-term survival, but conservatism virtually left out conserving the biology of the community, the genes, the genetic pool, the ethnic group that defines the community. Conservatism defended religion and high culture against the materialist doctrine of progress but---inspired by its universalist religion---conservatism forgot about conserving the materialism that makes up the genes, the genetic pool, and the ethnic group of the community. The Black Lives Matter movement and its white-woke-cuckold followers doesn't have that problem.

 On his Fox show ”Unfiltered,” like many of us, Dan Bongino was lamenting the loss of watching sports before the Back Lives Matter movement ruined the collective joy in watching ones team win a big game, with their disrespectful displays on the field, rejecting our patriotic symbols, calling them racists etc. Then Bongino ended by saying sadly that he wants that magical time back again. I shook my head and said to the TV:  "We wont get it back, Dan, until we create ethnostates.”

When human behavior is seen from the realistic biological origin of social behavior all races are “systemically racist." The Black Lives Matter movement, which has been loudly accusing all whites of being racist, is driven by the very same black racism, and we are not going to solve any racial problems until we admit this. Human nature has always been naturally genetically kin and ethnic centered. When real human nature is allowed to be what it is, often leads to regionalism, localism, general conservative values, and eventually ethnostates, which then can offer the most peace and liberty possible, given real human nature.

But even conservatives as courageous and patriotic as Bongino don't see it yet, and until they do they will go on lamenting not only the loss of the collective joy in watching sports, they may soon lament the loss of their whole culture. The realistic way to solve Martin Buber's “I-Thou and I-It'” way of looking at the world is not to define the I-Thou as identifying with a spiritual God ruling all people and demanding that we religiously call each other “Thou” rather than “It,” but rather to acknowledge and and affirm that the biological origin of social behavior favors the survival of the I-It attitude with all ethnic groups and races, because all groups biologically seek survival and reproductive success for themselves first; we can then redefine the I Thou as respecting the right of each ethnic group to seek survival and reproductive success living separately in ethnostates with ethnopluralism.

The religious justification for an ethnopluralism of ethnostates need not reach down to spiritualism but up to the process of the material evolution of life toward Godhood, activated from within every cell of living bodies, which then react and adapt to the various outside environments that life lives in. This activation is the same activation that leads to the desire to successfully survive and reproduce. The goal of evolving to Godhood need not deprive us of either politics, science, or religion. We can realistically define the I Thou as best realized by respecting the right of each I-It ethnic group to seek survival and reproductive success and their evolution toward Godhood living in ethnostates with ethnopluralism, and with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, chosenites, Marxists, etc., with a defensive federalism.

Defending an always evolving aristocracy (from the archive)

 It is usually not said that aristocracy does not depend on wealth or civilized taste alone but also on genetic qualities. Good genetic qualities lead to intelligence etc. which in turn can lead to a financial aristocracy, but then education and civilization are required to make a real aristocracy.

Although I am more or less a populist on the right believing in localism, and the separation of powers, states, and people, I can't be against the inequality of wealth, the level of civilization, or genetic qualities, I am not a socialist or Marxist. But the genetic lag between people and cultures, which is one of the main causes of problems between people and cultures, can in fact be addressed with humane genetic and eugenic actions for all who desire it.

But the goal is not merely to develop a wealthy and civilized human evolving aristocracy, but to continue evolving on earth and out into the cosmos toward Godhood, which is defined as the highest material and supermaterial aristocracy, the highest beauty, truth, goodness, consciousness and intelligence. This evolution toward Godhood defines the sacred goal of life.

As to “heroes of the mind,” they need to be linked to the evolution of life, human life, and to the evolution of higher species on the path to Godhood. That is the first supposition of human history and the most worthy goal of religion, philosophy, art and politics. It all starts from this natural basis. Compare this goal to the consciousness, thoughts, and conceptions of modern intellectuals.

As I have suggested here before regarding high art, we drifted away from didactic and moral art as we became more literate, but as evolutionary psychologists have pointed out, story-telling had survival benefits in the Pleistocene, and it still does, when we relate beauty to real biological life, evolution, and religion. There is no need to use a hammer to didactically or morally inspire in art, past aristocracies have shown us that art is usually best when it is subtle. The idea of Godhood attained in future evolution has sacred artistic and religious value, but it also has survival and reproductive value. And great art has always affirmed the sacred.
