Developing a healthier world compatible with what we actually are as human beings

I don't know exactly where I would create the dividing line between what I call the Age of Warriors and the Age of Nurturing in the West, because the "warrior" remains biologically and genetically the central feature of men, and "nurturing " remains the central feature of women, no matter how much communism, feminism and postmodernism deny this biologically-derived definition of gender differences. Of course men can be nurturing and women can be warriors but that is not the specialty of the genders.

If we begin the Age of Warriors in hunter/gatherer times when deep human nature was evolved, say, a million years ago, give or take, and follow it up to, say, the fall of the Roman Empire around 476, or the end of the Viking age in 1066 AD, that could be called the long orthodox or formal Age of Warriors in the West occupying at least 90 percent of human history. But as I said, since the warrior and the nurturer remain biologically and genetically the central feature of men and women even today, the Age of Warriors never really ended, it was just buried or sublimated by modern culture, especially in the West---with the exception of the voluntary military men who defend the West, in spite of women being inserted into the military.

So does this mean we should go back to an age of tooth and claw and demand ancient wide differences between men and women, or declare one supreme noble or chosen people over all others? In our increasingly crowded world it would bring survival and reproductive disaster to a people who declared such intentions as the rest of the world would gang up on them and destroy them.

What we do need to do is affirm real human nature and the biological origin of our social behavior. The science of sociobiology recently affirmed biologically-derived human nature as being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection, followed by individual selection.

This suggests that we should reject (I wanted to say shitcan) the communists/socialists/liberals, feminists, and postmodernists for being against real human nature and therefore harmful to life itself. Then we can get on with developing a healthier world compatible with what we actually are as human beings, for example, developing the ethnopluralism of ethnostates often written about in this blog, which is about as equitable as human beings can be given human nature.

Religion and the call for a new evolutionary therapy

The "id" of Freud not only limits the definition of the "unconscious" it distorts it and shrinks it down to the flow of the libido or sexuality. Sex is a subsidiary or secondary drive beholden to a hierarchy of the drives to survival and reproductive success, the will to power, the will to pleasure or happiness, and finally the real source of all those subsidiary drives: the will to Godhood, or Tirips, which is the sacred goal of all those drives of the unconscious, and the zenith of survival and reproductive success.

So when psychoanalytic treatment seeks to help the patient gain access to the unconscious by unblocking or understanding the "repression" of sexuality, that limits and distorts the unconscious, and leaves the patient de-centered from the deeper and more vital drives of the unconscious mentioned above; it severs or uncouples people and cultures from the deeper needs of real human nature.

The unconscious is grounded in every cell and perception of body by the will to Godhood which drives and gives purpose to survival and reproductive success, the will to power, and the will to pleasure or happiness. It is all a material process and ultimately a supermaterial process working within the ups and downs and strictures of outside or environmental natural selection and evolution.

This is how the deeper and more vital drives of the unconscious are re-centered after being severed or uncoupled, and brought in harmony with being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection, followed by individual selection. This brings us to the religious philosophy of theological materialism, and to the call for a new evolutionary therapy.

What Truly Satisfies?

Attaining honor, power, wealth, fame, the love of women is the object of much of our lives, and although attaining them gives great satisfaction for those who do so, it never seems to fully satisfy. Why? Attaining Godhood in evolution is the highest satisfaction leading to all the other satisfactions.

Sex, power, etc. are on a continuum of satisfactions, one instigating the other and activated ultimately by the desire (Spirit-Will) to attain Godhood in evolution. Nietzsche, Freud, Jung, E.O.Wilson and others were searching for the highest purposes behind our mental and physical actions, eg. power (Nietzsche), sex (Freud) psychic wholeness (Jung), survival and reproductive success (Wilson).

Godhood is the final purpose activating the various successes in survival and reproduction. Ideally, when men and societies are balanced, each success in honor, power, wealth, fame, love will bring us closer to the sacred goal of Godhood, where the highest satisfaction in life and evolution is attained.

The Basic Dynamic of Evolutionary Therapy

Raymond Cattell was probably right in seeing how psychotherapy came to regard guilt as evil, and tried to cure neurosis by whittling away the superego to “harmless” levels, which incidentally, led to the permissiveness of the last midcentury. Cattell would have the ego control guilt rather than repress it. But Cattell did confirm Freud's ego and superego controlling mans instinctive id, and Cattell extended this with empirical studies in Multivariate Psychology to find two things almost as important: self-sentiment and guilt-proneness.

My proposal of Evolutionary Therapy sees a slightly different dynamic related to religion, while accepting the basic structure of Freud and Cattell. Deep in the instinctive id is the most sacred Spirit-Will-To-Godhood that activates life which is then shaped by evolution. It is this Sacred Instinct that must be synthesized by the ego and superego, and certainly not suppressed, repressed or ignored, although it cannot really be ignored since it essentially defines life itself.

The Soul or the Father Within is that which necessarily suppresses the ego, superego, id and Spirit-Will in order to attain the bliss of desirelessness which is equated with God in the great religions. This is accomplished at the Zenith of the Mind. Whereas the Spirit-Will activates life at the Zenith of the Soul, as the Zenith of the Instincts. The Spirit-Will seeks the desirelessness which comes from attaining the supreme material desire of evolving to Godhood, and not the mirror of this from suppressing all desire in the Soul.  The Twofold Path in the Theoevolutionary Church defines the two paths of the Soul and Spirit-Will.  Individuals and culture then seek to harmonize with this dynamic, which can lead to Revitalized Conservatism and Ordered Evolution.
