The fall of traditional American popular culture really got going in the 1960's with the rise of African-American performers and Jewish producers. Pop music became much louder and more vulgar, ironically influenced by black gospel music. The musical dynamics of songs were lost and replaced with screaming from the beginning to the end of songs. I'm no prude but subtle romantic themes were replaced by raw sexuality. Dance became imitations of sexual intercourse. And it was embarrassing to see white performers trying to imitate black performers, even though some of then were quite good at it, like bluesman Eric Clapton.
This fall of traditional American popular culture continued with Rap and Hip Hop, which was even more Africanized, with rhythm and drumming (and obscene nursery rhymes) virtually replacing melody and harmony. Now even many country music stars act the exact opposite of the old Southern gentleman, full of swaggering arrogance, glorifying drunkenness and promiscuity---frankly, acting like Black rappers.
When I say "gentleman" I'm not talking about a simpering over-civilized fop, I am talking about the old gentry, with good manners and a fighting spirit, a balance between the warrior and a cultured gentleman---which they still might teach in some military schools in the South.
If vulgarized pop music and hip hop culture had their own independent state I doubt if I would have much to say about it, but they have been widely promoted in the whole country by the big and small media and have taken over popular culture the way Europe was taken over by barbarians in the Dark Ages---back then it took over a thousand years to turn the barbarians back into European gentlemen.
During this same time “high” European art and culture was virtually replaced in our colleges and universities by the political correctness of cultural Marxism, and it was again embarrassing to see traditional professors trying to imitate Marxist professors, even though some of then were quite good at it.
The Big Media promoted constant attacks against the traditional American people and traditional American culture in music, movies, and television, portraying the ethos of the Euro-American gentleman as foolish or even as evil. Most of the producers of this junk were, and are still, from New York or Los Angeles and could care less about the rest of the county.
Who benefits from this destruction of Western high and low culture? Modern liberalism slightly disguised as cultural Marxism is a front for the will-to-power and dominance of some individuals and some ethnic groups over other ethnic groups. I see an ethnopluralism of ethnostates as the only healthy and rational way to deal with this natural competition, which in multicultural states ends up destroying all cultures and civilizations.
