Reversing metaphysics

Ultimately mans status in the universe is not wholly determined by the "quality of his thinking" but by the level of his evolution, which includes both mind and body.

The highest status in the universe goes to Godhood, which is the highest evolved being, or beings, at any given time in the universe.

We don't transcend the "limits" of flesh and mind by blocking material evolution with ascetic compulsion. Flesh and mind evolve materially toward supermaterial Godhood.

Spirit isn't light and matter isn't darkness, as the mystics have constantly told us, the activation of life toward Godhood is material, not spiritual.

Life is materially activated from within and life must then evolve, hopefully, with higher and higher success toward Godhood, in whatever environment life finds itself living in, adapting as life goes along.

We can now be an aid in our evolution toward real Godhood. Blocking evolution, religiously or politically, is not an aid at all.

Even so, even so, as conservatives, we can retain the old ascetic first inward glimpses of "god" as we reverse, transform, and evolve our metaphysics. The involutionary and evolutionary Twofold Path does that.
