Revenge of the transhumanists

I like the wild creativity of the transhumanists but I think they are chickenshit in centering on artificial intelligence rather than human intelligence or super-species intelligence.

I understand the problems that come from talking about human intelligence, being called a racist or bigot when you are not, but high creativity isn't only comic-book heroes and dweeby computers.

Then there is that revenge of the nerds quality to the transhumanists, their resentment of the blond preppies in high school who got all the girls, or the girls themselves who wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

It is not human-computer melds we need most it is the biological and genetic evolution of humans and beyond that we need, with men and women controlling the computers, not the other way around.

The "trans" we need is not transhumanism (or transsexualism for that matter) but the great transformations that come from biological evolution, which can include a sane and moral genetic engineering.

We don't even have to lose religion when it is understood that we materially evolve to supermaterial Godhood.
