The real material way to overcome the personal and social decadence of the modern world

Conservatives are of course right to worry about the personal and social decadence of the modern world, but they are wrong and hypocritical to blame it on the pursuit of living for the material senses. The religious end that traditionalist's seek is also hedonistic, the Godhood they seek involves restricting sensual desires (especially with serious ascetics) but the end they seek with the sensual restrictions is entirely sensual and necessarily self-indulgent so that they may experience the great bliss of beatitude for Christians, awakening for Buddhists, etc. It is peak material experience brought on by blocking or “overcoming” sensual desires, and then falsely defining that peak material experience as a non-material spiritual experience of God.

The real material way to overcome the personal and social decadence of the modern world is to seek ascending levels of real material Godhood by way of material and supermaterial evolution. This means seeking Godhood by evolving from man to superman to supermaterial Gods. Applying the sciences of sociobiology and genetics we can learn to prevent the decline and early death of a variety of people, ethnic groups, and societies by understanding the social and biological patterns that bring collapse.

The material evolutionary process has shown a direction toward higher, more complex, more intelligent, more conscious forms, in spite of occasional backward going and stagnation. We can help prevent negative genetic ends, but we can also civilize the beast and seek positive genetic ends, even as we recognize that competition, separation, and distinctiveness are a good thing on the evolutionary path to ascending levels of Godhood.
