Real human nature tells us why Zogby poll favors secession and ethnostates

A Zogby poll in 2018 found that 39 percent of Americans favor secession and 29 percent aren't sure, which means 68 percent will consider the concept. (Chronicles, July 2019). I read that several times because I had never seen those figures before, the corrupted schools and the fake media hide those statistics.

Secession is not my first preference, which seems too radical to me, I prefer to conservatively and legally apply or adapt the constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions. Radical revolutionaries are usually strangled in their cribs. And without a federal defense complete secession from the union could leave the new ethnostate vulnerable to marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers.

It turns out that conservatism as defined by sociobiology can be one of the best ways to survive and reproduce successfully over the long term, but few conservatives seriously apply the insights of sociobiology in defense of conservative principles. 

I would like to see the conservatism of Russell Kirk and George Kennan expanded to include an ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions, which I call deep-conservatism, or evolutionary conservatism. Even with the constant political propaganda of cultural Marxism, left-liberalism, and global neoconservatism constantly preached in all our schools and across the media, human nature remains as it has always been, kin-centered, ethnocentric and group-selecting, which naturally points toward and ethnopluralism of ethnostates...Real human nature tells us why the Zogby poll favors secession and ethnostates.

The Great Ancient Error

(Here is my speculations on the origin of the great spiritual blockade developed by traditional religions and what to do about it, modified a bit from 2008.)

The great error of the ancient Proto?-Indo-Europeans was in defining the activation within as spiritual and as God rather than as the material activation to Godhood. From this error, came the great spiritual blockade, which eventually banished the material world, even to the point of describing all material things as evil.

In the distant past Indo-European warriors of Hyperborea? discovered techniques for helping them to endure distress without mental disturbance, mantras etc. which gave them advantages over their competitors. Specialists in these techniques then developed, teaching initiate warriors etc. Gradually this class of specialists became a priest class.

As long as the techniques for helping warriors to endure distress were used for warrior purposes the great error was undeveloped. This was perhaps the high point in ancient Indo-European civilization, that is, when the inward activation, which I define as Tirips, was reached or applied primarily for the purpose of helping warriors to victory. When attaining the the inward activation or Tirips became an end in itself decline set in. The priest class became ascendant over the warrior class. The Activation Within was declared the Kingdom of God Within, and the primary purpose of existence was now to attain this God or Spirit Within. Material life, including the warrior life, was degraded and the great spiritual blockade of material life and material evolution began in earnest.

All the Revealed Religions followed this Inward Path in what has since been called the Perennial Philosophy. Perhaps some branches sought to return the balance between warriors and priests. Perhaps Zarathushtra, or his ancestors, diverged from the main group for this reason. But all branches continued the great error of defining the Spirit Within as God, and God as spiritual rather than supermaterial, and all branches of the Revealed Religions continued the great spiritual blockade against the material desires of the world.

Theological materialism and the projected Theoevolutionary Church seek to address this ancient error. The God Within is seen as the inward material activation of Tirips, activating evolving material life toward ascending levels of Godhood while working along with outside natural selection and evolution.

Theological materialism does not reject the inward activation as the secularists do, it corrects the misdefined involutionary inward path and defines Godhood as that which we must evolve to in the material and supermaterial world, which is the evolutionary outward path to real Godhood.

Warriors perhaps can affirm the period in ancient Indo-European History when the inward material activation of Tirips was applied primarily to helping the warriors, before the time when attaining the “spirit” within was defined as the primary purpose of existence. But we now apply this ethos to the Twofold Path, the inward and the outward paths, toward evolving in the material world toward ascending levels of Godhood.

What would John Randolph do?

In the 1800's “Old Republicans” like John Randolph disliked the banks, even state banks, he was opposed to borrowing and debt, and opposed to the concentration of economic power, he advocated a simple agricultural economy. But his opposition didn't stop these things from happening in the United States. The “Fed,” America's central bank, became the most powerful single actor in the U.S. economy and the world, and it is unconstitutional. 

As Zbigniew Mazurak put it, “The Constitution clearly says that the Feds’ role is only to provide for the common defense, manage foreign relations, protect citizens’ constitutional rights, establish federal courts; apply and explain federal law (in the judiciary’s case); and a few other minor issues. No branch of the Federal Government is authorized to handle any other issues. So the federal establishment should be strictly limited to these tasks; all others should be reassigned to the states, local governments, and individual Americans.”

Human nature tends to be hierarchical and the Constitution wisely tried to deal with that reality by separating the powers and the states. But the centralizing of power took place anyway, in spite of the heroic attempts of people like John Randolph. Marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers changed the nation to benefit themselves and soon opened the borders to virtually all immigrants, which therefore eventually changed the culture to the degree that white Americans and their culture will soon be a minority in their own country.

Real human nature remains genetically and biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. So race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation tend to eventually conform to the biological human nature reflected in identity politics. 

This strongly suggests that the biological origin of social behavior and real human nature lead naturally to regionalism, localism, and an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates or regions could be established, legally, in the United States with our original constitutional separation of powers and states. The Feds most important role would be to provide for the common defense of the ethnostates against marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers. John Randolph might even approve.

What bestows Being?

At this point I see no need for Heidegger's overly complicated “Ereignis,” the “event of appropriation,” the oblivion of Being, etc., in explaining the “bestowing” of Being. What bestows Being? The activating Spirit-Will, or Tirips, is the inward activating material drive of evolution within life which bestows beings and Being in the cosmos working along with natural selection and evolution, activating life to evolve to ascending levels of Godhood. Such natural things as big bangs, or electric universes, contain Tirips within the chemistry of the cosmos which activates life to evolve toward Godhood again and again. But Tirips is not God, it activates toward Godhood by way of material and supermaterial evolution.

Why evolutionary realism in the arts (from 2012)

Do we seek the clarity of the classicist or the infinite (Burke's sublime) of the romantic in the arts? Adapting Robert Ellwood's view of Carl Jung and Burke, I would say our ignorance of Godhood causes us to give form to archetypes going forward in evolution to Godhood and inward to the activating Spirit-Will or Tirips which activates life.

Kant said we cannot fully know reality but I think that we will know much more reality when we evolve to ascending levels of Godhood, and we will also know more of truth and beauty. This is a romantic notion but since it also seeks absolute truth it seeks the clarity of classicism.

I split the difference and use the art term "evolutionary realism" as less weighted than romantic classicism, and also since evolution is so central to the theological materialism of the projected Theoevolutionary Church. This also blends the Darwinian and the phenomenological.

The Grotesque Grammy's

The Grammy Awards last night were a dump of emotionalism, arrested development, exhibitionism, freaks, transvestites, whites trying to sing like blacks, and hillbilly's condescendingly tolerated by the black dominated ceremony.

The Grammy's certainly do declare the death of white culture and there is not much worse than destroying the values and morals of the youth. The producers of this cultural destruction began their march through pop culture back in 1950's which introduced naturally conservative white music to naturally anarchistic black music, and we ended up last night with screaming wannabe-black Aerosmith and black hip hop Run-DMC together doing “Walk This Way.” I suppose it was their ludicrous way of trying to be inclusively “woke.”

This Dionysian mess was many worlds away from the Aristotelian stiff upper lip of traditional culture. I hold the producers of pop culture responsible for this degeneration...To think that Socrates was killed merely for corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens with Socratic reasoning.

Goodness and pleasure are aspired to for the same reason: they both materially evolve toward Godhood

Contrary to St Thomas the natural impulses or instincts toward pleasure etc. are not from God, like the other natural instincts they lead to Godhood---while pleasure and the natural instincts are secondary as an aid in the drive to successful survival and reproduction, they are also a natural aid in evolving toward the ultimate success of ascending levels of Godhood.

Goodness and pleasure are aspired to for the same reason: they both materially evolve toward Godhood. These things do not move from the material to the spiritual, they move from the material to the supermaterial. Defining God as spiritual not only defames the material world it defames and blocks the material evolution to ascending levels of real Godhood.

The swamping of the global north by the global south and what to do about it

Population fertility rates comparing the global south and the global north (Philip Jenkins, Chronicles, June 2019) tell us that Muslim populations went from representing 13 percent of the global population in 1946 to 25 percent of global population today, from 40 million people to at least 500 million today, and that is mainly from states marked by poverty. The African population has grown fivefold since 1946, and they are migrating north. Meanwhile Western white birth rates are stagnating and whites are dying faster than being born.

No wonder populist nationalism and ethnic identity politics have risen in the West! Western people naturally want to live not die, even as the brain-washed and suicidal liberal-left seek to destroy populist nationalism and ethnic identity politics.

How did this happen? Was Christianity the only movement encouraging Western whites to have babies? It seems so, but the Hollywood/New York/Washington media was also responsible for the war against traditional values and morals in America. And modern technology gradually took away the importance of having babies as the traditional gender roles of women and men changed (even though biological gender differences did not change) making it possible for either gender to push the buttons on missiles or robot vacuum cleaners.

Can we hope only for more people to become populist-nationalists in the face of a powerful media and the liberal left which hates populist-nationalists and hates all "deplorables" living between the East and West coast in America? How will we deal with the demographic changes in America when we know that as the demographics change the culture changes?

If real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. In the U. S. this could be accomplished by adapting the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. All elements of the changed demographics in America could then be what they naturally are in ethnostates---and they will need to be protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, global money grubbers, and the migrating global south, with a very defensive federalism.

I think the defense of the global north by populist nationalism and ethnic identity politics, along with the rise of ethnostates, will continue to grow, if we can keep from being utterly destroyed by the actions and influence of the liberal-left, the Hollywood/New York/Washington media, and the phony neoconservatives.

How valuable an aid homogeneity is in forming a balanced political union

Balance is important in many things, it seems to be an art as well as a science. When the founders of the United States worked toward a balance of freedom and order, etc. it involved many elements that they hoped would form an integration, harmony, counterbalances, proportion, etc.  

Defining human nature had to somehow synchronize with defining social laws. A view that human nature was mainly individualist or mainly group-centered, equal or unequal, etc. would affect the outcome and the balance. Did it call for more government control or less government control? And how to handle the differing definitions and opinions of these things?  

We can see how valuable an aid homogeneity is in forming a balanced political union. The cultural, social, biological, ethnic and other similarities within a group affect the balancing of freedom and order, social laws and cultural mores; how much more difficult it is to balance heterogeneity and dissimilarities.  

I argue that heterogeneity and multiculturalism within the same living space make social balance virtually impossible, because real human nature is universally kin-centered, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, among other conservative things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. These things are best balanced in real ethnostates. The balance that the founders of the United States worked toward, the freedom and order they sought, worked as long as the United States was culturally, socially, biologically, and ethnically homogeneous, Euro-American, and naturally became unbalanced when we were not.  

When real kin and ethnic-group-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally, if we are wise, an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. Falling away from the good as defined by St. Thomas and by sociobiology

St. Thomas said: “The good for everything is what is fitting to it according to its form; evil is what does not correspond to the order of its form,” and “sin is nothing other than falling away from the good which is fitting to ones nature,” and evil is “a privation of form or order.” (The Breviary of St. Thomas, Peiper)  

My comment: while the traditionally religious view of human nature is remarkably like the sociobiological view of human nature, eg. human nature is universally and genetically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, etc., the evolutionary sciences have also found that human nature is ethnocentric, even xenophobic, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection, because all of these traits, which are still with us, were the most successful in the survival and reproduction of our genes and cultures over time.  

St. Thomas also believed that human nature is spiritual, but if we wanted to use the St. Thomas specifications of “evil” and “sin” in terms of falling away from human nature as defined by the evolutionary sciences, that would mean that the liberal-left which opposes both the traditionally religious view of human nature and the the sociobiological view of human nature is sinful and evil.

The trans-valuation of values needed in religion

If your God is defined as the highest reason, and if your God is also defined as non-material and spiritual, then both your God and your reason do not exist, because reason, ideas, and Godhood are material and supermaterial. But if your God and your reason are entirely material or supermaterial than they can both exist in the world.

When your God and your reason are defined as non-material and spiritual, then the material passions are blocked in seeking the highest reason and highest God, and that is in fact done by religious ascetics. Ascetics then define that passion-blocked state as a non-material spiritual state relating to their non-material spiritual God, but ridding their bodies of desires creates only a peak material experience of bliss.

The material will to Godhood, or Tirips, is a better guide to ordering the passions than reason since the will to Godhood, or Tirips helped evolve and activate reason to help guide material life to evolve toward real Godhood. The passions point toward Godhood in this way.

The trans-valuation of values needed in religion is to see Godhood and reason as materially evolved to in the material world, which can save religion as a guide, and even bring religion and science together again.

Denying the opportunity to phase out some of our undesirable genetic disorders

As Natalie Regoli wrote, it's a simple fact that choosing healthy mating partners and controlling the offspring can improve the quality of human life. But when that is not done engineering the genetic makeup of a child can eliminate hereditary conditions that lead to deformities, mental and physical problems. It then acts as a preemptive protection for the child so that he or she will no longer worry about inheriting genetic disorders from his or her ancestry.

Eugenics is already shaping where the next generation wants to go in education, and parents are already using testing and screening, genetic counseling, birth control, in vitro fertilization, and genetic engineering, and we can move on from there, as the deceitful paralyzing of eugenics begins to wind down.

One of the stupidest things humans have been doing at least since World War II is denying the opportunity to phase out some of our undesirable genetic disorders. This also relates to denying the biological origin of social behavior.

Positive eugenics is aimed at increasing desirable traits, while negative eugenics refers to decreasing undesirable traits, but we can't even advocate decreasing undesirable traits without some loudmouth calling us racist.

It is true, as Regoli points out, that engineering desirable offspring is now very expensive. Not many couples can afford hiring a team of geneticists to engineer their next baby. This further widens the gap between the rich and poor, with the rich producing the more dominant and more superior offspring. And down the line eliminating genetic disorders might also produce humans with similar genetic makeup and a shallow gene pool, with a lack of diversity.

But basic human nature is genetically kin and ethnic centered and if idiotic multiculturalism is not forced upon us we naturally separate into ethnostates and diversity naturally continues.

Some of the best thinking on eugenics over the past 30 years comes from Raymond Cattell's book, “Beyondism,” (1987), especially the tightly packed 16^th chapter. I would have future sociobiological research centers built on many of Cattell's ideas, which could then be applied to our religious evolution toward supermaterial Godhood.

For me the deeper more serious problem in blocking eugenics is that it blocks the sacred mission of life evolving to Godhood. We do not launch ourselves out on a goalless adventure of evolution, we need not remove God or Godhood from evolution, our goal is Godhood.

We can learn to prevent the decline and early death of a variety of people, ethnic groups, and societies by understanding the social and biological patterns that bring collapse, and by applying voluntary population control and genetics. We can help prevent negative ends, but we can also civilize the beast and seek positive ends, even as we recognize that competition, separation, and distinctiveness are a good thing on the evolutionary path to Godhood.

The material activation within material life to evolve to supermaterial Godhood

St. Thomas defined the wise man as one who is directed toward the end of the universe, and our choices or our "free will" are best directed toward that end. St. Thomas also said wisdom alone can lead to the “ever lasting kingdom.” And he said that when things are higher than the mind knows then the will ascends higher than the mind is able to go.

I unpack those ideas this way: Yes, our will and our choices are best directed toward the goal of the universe, but the will, or Tirips, is the material activation within material life to evolve to supermaterial Godhood in the material world, working along with natural selection and evolution---and yes, the will knows its goal even if the mind does not. Knowing God is not being God, the bliss of the beatitude experienced by wise men, after much ascetic discipline, is a peak material experience, and like real materially-evolved Godhood, is not spiritual. There is no non-material spiritual God-end, there are only ascending levels of material/supermaterial Godhoods.

Thoughts on developing evolutionary therapy (from 2014)

...The psychologist/priest role would be to understand the intentionality of the material activation within material life of the will to Godhood, or Tirips, which the person is often unable to clearly comprehend, whereas in Jungian psychology, the therapist's role is to represent the intentions of the psyche and to see or understand the “Self”. The psychologist/priest needs to take the side of Tirips, whereas the psychoanalyst takes the side of the Unconscious.

In “evolutionary therapy” the psychologist/priest would need to mediate a deal or balance between Tirips and the mind and society which we can live with. “Befriending” Tirips may be a task which could involve politically incorrect insights since human evolution remains an almost taboo subject. Egotistical human life and modern values may seem limited in the face of the long evolution to Godhood, beyond man, beyond superman, beyond angels, all the way to ascending levels of Godhood.

When Tirips is blocked it turns away from its central path and that makes for unhealthy people and unhealthy societies, and the psychologist/priest “art” is to help “release” Tirips into the energy of the person and society, making the energy of Tirips available for the individual and for society---like the martial arts, we can learn to use or turn the powerful force of the activation of Tirips away from hurting ourselves toward helping ourselves, and helping our societies evolve.

Meanwhile the mind maintains its task to intelligently help guide or “ride the tiger” of Tirips. We need to befriend the unconscious Tirips which activates the body and we need to correctly define Tirips and its direction. The great goal of Tirips is the goal that lies beyond us, at the zenith of evolution, and the psyche needs to be balanced in that direction.

“The striving for significance, this sense of yearning, always points out to us that all psychological phenomena contain a movement that starts from a feeling of inferiority and reach upward. The theory of Individual Psychology of psychological compensation states that the stronger the feeling of inferiority, the higher the goal for personal power.” (Alfred Adler)

That quote by Alfred Adler is not only an interesting quote, but Adler was an interesting psychologist. Adler (who freely acknowledged Nietzsche) postulated a single drive, which we would transpose in evolutionary therapy as Tirips or the Will to Godhood within material life, the activating force behind evolution and the cosmos, the most important force in individual psychology. This “striving for perfection” is the activating Will to Godhood in material evolution, which works along with the ups and downs of natural selection and evolution.

Rather than the “will to meaning” of Dr Viktor Frankl, or the “will to pleasure” (pleasure principle) of Freud, or the “will to power” of Nietzsche (as well as in Adlerian psychology), we may say that the primary motivational force within man and the cosmos is the evolutionary material will to Godhood, or Tirips.

The interesting psychology comes in relating this primary drive socially as well as individually. All men, all groups have this drive to perfection, but how do we integrate them? Our answer, unlike Adler's world socialism, is the ordered evolution of evolutionary conservatism, which can lead toward an ethnopluralism of ethnostates in harmony with real kin and ethnic centered human nature,

Here is another Adler quote: “God...is the most brilliant manifestation of the goal of perfection.” That is affirmed in our material evolution to Godhood.

The censorship of political correctness has been an amazing negative achievement still in the process of destroying us

Political correctness, which is another name for censorship, censors and blocks the basic human nature which has been with us for several million years. It's an astounding negative achievement still in the process of destroying us.

Political correctness regarding gays, sexism, race, equality, etc. etc. began in the 1960's and the censorship increased in power and influence in the media and the schools until now everyone fears the social consequences of being labeled a bigot, which can be extreme.

Political correctness really was an unbelievable success in spite of going against the biological and genetic origin of human nature and human social behavior, which remains as it has always been, universally kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection/ethnic selection as the primary unit of successful selection and survival.

Being able to largely block what humans really are shows us the power of getting the means of culture in the wrong hands, not to mention the means of production. They didn't and couldn't change human nature but they could march through the institutions and force a censorship that obstructs basic human nature. It's an amazing negative achievement still in the process of destroying us.

What led to the mess we have made of America and how do clean it up?

Industrial forces, banking, manufacturing, the speculative spirit have always been a problem for farming and agricultural life, as Russell Kirk pointed out (“Randolph of Roanoke”).

Tocqueville thought that the abolition of entail (the inheritance of property over a number of generations within a family) and primogeniture (the right of succession belonging to the firstborn child ) played a part in the restlessness and greed for money or possessions of the American people.

The love of money may be the root of all evil, but then people with higher IQs make more money. So when we look at the mess that has been made of America we have to take that sort of meritocracy into account too.

I think the biggest problems in America came from losing the cultural and ethnic homogeneity of our nation. A shared traditional religion kept the greed for money or possessions in check, and the mostly Northern European ethnicity worked more smoothly with the interactions of the people, in harmony with basic human nature which has been mainly kin and ethnic centered since humans became human.

No amount of propaganda in the media or in the schools can force the liberal-left square in the conservative round hole of real human nature. Industrial forces, banking, manufacturing, the speculative spirit as well as farming and agricultural life simply work better in homogeneous ethnostates.

So when real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally, if we are are wise, an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. In the U. S. this could be accomplished by adapting the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states or regions to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. No superiority/inferiority of ethnic groups need apply. All elements of the demographics in America could then be what they naturally are, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.

Adapting St. Thomas to the biological origin of social behavior

“One wills the end, the reason determines on the means leading to the end.”

My response: What is the direction of life? Does anything direct life? Life is activated from within by the material Will-To-Godhood, or Tirips, working with outside natural selection and evolution. Defining Godhood needs to be revitalized outwardly from its exclusive ascetic inwardness: we evolve to Godhood by way of material and supermaterial evolution. God was at first seen only inwardly as the symbolic ascetic bliss experience of the God or Father Within. Nietzsche's death of God is denied when religion and culture are brought back to biology, back to real morality, which develops by way of survival and reproductive concerns, with conscious evolution now added to unconscious evolution. This suggests the ordered evolution of conservatism, a better term than “ordered liberty.”

With biology and evolution in the picture, altruism and morality are not the evil Nietzsche thought they were. It is true, as Cattell said, that other than a little borrowing from other cultures, it is innovative individuals who are mainly the creators of culture, and the general population tends to genetically and culturally lag behind. But even supermen do not survive long without group values and group altruism---which applies to all ethnic groups. Evolutionary values are activated by the largely un-free inward direction of life, while being shaped by outside natural selection and evolution, always moving toward ascending levels of Godhood, with starts and stops along the way.

Ironically, or tragically, the Christian promotion of universal altruism helped to break down the common Christian roots of ethnically homogeneous cultures

In an excellent article in Chronicles (June 2019) Nicholas Farrell wrote about the liberal-left's march through the institutions of the West to achieve what Gramsci called cultural hegemony, taking over the means of culture rather than Marx's means of production, and Farrell juxtaposed that takeover with the fire that gutted Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris during Holy Week. 

Farrell believes that the the wonders of traditional Western culture were founded on common Christian roots, and they were, but a few people like myself believe that the wonders of traditional Western culture were more deeply founded on common ethnic roots which religion and the church helped bond together. Christian success in bonding of people together began to change as the people changed, since bonding works best in ethnically homogeneous cultures. 

Real human nature is, among other conservative things, kin and ethnic centered and altruism grew from that source long before Christianity, because being kin and ethnic centered was successful in survival and reproduction. Ironically, or tragically, the Christian promotion of universal altruism helped to break down the common Christian roots of ethnically homogeneous cultures. 

Certainly religion is vital in deeply bonding people together, but ethnically homogeneous cultures are even more vital, which is why the evolutionary science of sociobiology needs to be brought into conservative and liberal-left religious and cultural philosophy. 

If real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally, if we are wise, an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. In the U. S. this could be accomplished by adapting the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. 

As to religion, I believe that the origin of sacredness and deep religion needs to come from the process of numberless material worlds always evolving toward ascending levels of supermaterial Godhood, even though natural selection and evolution has random elements and instances of stagnation and retreat. Deep religion comes from seeking to understand how life can be synchronized with this sacred process, and how we can best help it along. The goal of materially evolving to Godhood need not deprive us of either science, religion, or politics.

Can we overcome the power of the media and the schools and save ourselves?

The power of the cultural influence of the media and the schools is seen in their ability to overrule basic biological/genetically determined human nature, as seen in the drift of the people of the United States and the West to open borders for immigration, the demand for absolute equality in all things, multiculturalism, increasingly prevalent pornography, affirmative action or the legal right to discriminate against the white majority in order to advance minorities, women, homosexuals, etc. etc. All of these things go against what human nature actually is, but they were successful promoted by the media and the schools and have been largely established in the U. S. and the West. What power the media and the schools have had!

Is the white majority suicidal or just easily influenced by cunning cultural brainwashing? Whites are now dying faster being born and soon will be a minority going against the biologically determined human nature which occupied at least 90 percent of human history. What power the media and the schools have had!

Human nature is universally biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection, which normally leads to cultural behavior that goes against the cultural Marxism, nihilism, and hedonism we see in United States and the West today. What power the media and the schools have had!

The choice seems to be to have the country fall apart with civil disruptions and even civil war between naturally competing ethnic/racial groups, or to seek to amend the U. S. Constitution by adapting the constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. All elements of the demographics in America could then be what they naturally are, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism. I prefer the legal constitutional path toward ethnostates. History shows that given human nature that's what happens anyway, one way or another, consciously or unconsciously.

Reason didn't evolve the world, the material world evolved human reason

St. Thomas said the soul was reason, and he said to despise the command of reason is to despise the command of God, and he said conscience was the same as reason, and he also said that reason was the natural world, and that natural law was reason (from Pieper's Breviary The Human Wisdom of St. Thomas).

I don't think so. The human material mind is in the material body doing material logic, defining the soul, God, the conscience, natural law, and reason. Reason is the power of the material mind within the material body to think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic, but that is not God.

I accept Godhood, conscience, natural law, as well as reason, but I accept them as material products of an evolved material world. Godhood is evolved to by way of material evolution, the “soul” (Tirips) is the material activator to Godhood within material life working along with natural selection and evolution, and that can be understood by both the material reason and the instincts of the material body.

We evolve in the material world to supermaterial Godhood, assuming we can evolve both the material reason and the material instincts to do so. Reason didn't evolve the world, the material world evolved human reason, Godhood didn't evolve the world the material world evolves to ascending levels of Godhood. 

The Mystery of Mysteries

Traditionalism has the basic problem of a mistaken hierarchy saying that the cosmos must come from the higher, proceed to the lower, and then somehow get back to the higher.

Does God or ascending levels of Godhood at the cosmic summit of evolution have anything to do with the birth of the cosmos? This is the Mystery of Mysteries. If one does not want to give credit to a “satanic” power at the birth of the cosmos (as most material-life-hating Mysteries do) one still needs to be open to the possibility that God is not involved in the birth of the cosmos.

It is the activation to Godhood within material life working along with natural selection and evolution that activates material evolution to Godhood, it is not God doing the activating. It is that will to Godhood or Tirips within material life which has the real primal connection to the instigation of the birth of the material cosmos. This  suggests that matter and the material world may be more important than religious Tradition has thought it was.

The universe has an endless number of worlds moving and always evolving, with perhaps a few worlds evolving material life to the highest supermaterial levels of life, called Godhood. And this evolution never ends, it moves inevitably in a pattern---even though it has its random elements---and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat, toward higher and higher more effective living forms, always evolving toward Godhood.

Higher degrees in the traditionalist school know that the Involutionary Inward Path, at least symbolically, leads to the nothingness-bliss which the Inward Path sees as a beatific Godhood, brought on by blocking all material desires. The traditionalist school does not appear to know that Evolutionary Outward Path of material evolution can lead to ascending levels of real Godhood, the great opposite of the Inward Path “God.”

Civilizing the beast of life and evolution requires getting in sync with and using the forces of material evolution to attain ascending levels of Godhood. Even so, we can in the Twofold Path conservatively retain the old traditionalist inward path God as a sacred relic of the past search for Godhood.

The one vital change or amendment to our great Constitution we need to make

Russell Kirk rightly applauded the American people never having approved of large changes in the Constitution, although there have been several amendments, nor have the American people endorsed large changes in the customs of the country, which has happened in other countries. But Kirk worried about the increased power of the Supreme Court to remold our political and social institutions.

The one vital thing the Founders of the Constitution didn't point out clearly is that political problems are at root biological problems relating to the biological origin of our social behavior. Real tradition, real conservatism, knows this to be true, although it has become politically incorrect to say it.

The Supreme Court has been gradually moving to remold the Constitution toward behavior which goes against real human nature. Even in advanced modern societies where survival is easier, the dangers of Marxism (demanding equality for the unequal), radical feminism (demanding biologically unnatural roles for women), homosexuality (demanding unnatural sexual life styles) and postmodern relativism (demanding an unnatural relativity of values) is behavior that goes against real human nature, which remains basically kin-centered, gender defined, heterosexual, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, among other traditional things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection, followed by individual selection.

Given who we are and given what human nature really is, the one big change or amendment to our great Constitution we need to make is to adapt the constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates, or regions, with federalism protecting the ethnostates from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and money grubbers who always rise against the people. Otherwise, given human nature, America and the Constitution will fall apart with competing ethnic competitions or will try to be saved (conquered) by competing fascist/communist barbarians.

Means and Ends in Art and Culture (from 2012)

I don't think high culture sits above the struggle for existence, or that culture is above the world of necessity. Sociobiology has taught us of the biological connections with all social behavior.

The “State” is usually thought of as a means to an end, but so is culture, including religion. Life is evolving to ascending levels of Godhood and that is the end to which biology and culture are going, consciously or unconsciously. Perhaps only when we are fully conscious can we attain the goal of Godhood.

High art is an affirmation of this divine goal and should not therefore be defined as being out of the world of struggle for existence or out of the world of necessity. High art is an affirmation of the sacred and evolving to Godhood is sacred. Art and culture are not an end in themselves, and when they are, it creates inferior and lower directed art and culture.

“The right order of things is in harmony with the order of nature”

St Thomas Aquinas had much to say on nature that I can agree with. Take these lines by Thomas from Josef Pieper's Breviary of St. Thomas:

“The right order of things is in harmony with the order of nature.”

“In the sphere of intellectual knowledge and voluntary action, what is natural comes first, and from it all else is derived.”

“Sin is opposed to the natural inclination.” 

The conservative virtues and values of St Thomas and traditional religion link up quite well with the definition of human nature coming in from the science of sociobiology, which found that human nature is universally biologically kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, and religious-making, among other things, although traditional religion left out human nature also being ethnocentric, even xenophobic, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. 

St. Thomas also said “Reason imitates nature” and therefore I cannot agree with separating the material from the spiritual, making God spiritual and not material, making God not in nature but the creator of nature, and not affirming ongoing material evolution as not only the developer of nature and human nature but evolution is also the material path to evolve toward supermaterial Godhood.

Both the prevailing nihilistic/hedonistic philosophy and traditional theology opposed the biological origin of social behavior

If we define “nihilism” as the denial of the legitimacy of historical standards, and as the tyranny of means that have become their own ends, as H. A. Trask defined it in Chronicles, then the postmodern philosophy which has dominated the academic world and has leaked out into the general population can be defined as nihilism, selling the idea that traditional values and beliefs are unfounded and that existence is senseless and useless. That is what our colleges and grad schools have been teaching our students.

As H. Trask, Russel Kirk, and others have said, the great Western world was not built on nihilism, it was built by combining the warrior ethos, with religion (Christianity) and classical culture, as well as a chivalric or gentleman's code that affirmed courage, intellect, and honor.

That world is falling apart due to the efforts of those who have exploited nihilistic and hedonistic philosophy and used it as as their will to power, and also due to to the weakness of traditional theology in fighting against it. Both nihilistic/hedonistic philosophy and traditional theology largely opposed the biological origin of social behavior, and that opposition is dooming them both.

The biological origin of our social behavior as empirically explained by sociobiology actually ends the intellectual defense of postmodern relativism. As long as we are alive every cell in our body demands survival and reproductive success. This natural activation can be blocked, subverted, or it can be unknown to us, but it can't legitimately be intellectually or instinctively denied. Human nature is kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, and religious-making, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of successful selection. This strongly suggests that if real kin and ethnic-centered human nature is allowed to be what it is, it naturally leads to regionalism, localism, ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates.

As to theology, material evolution moves inevitably in a pattern, even though it has its random elements, and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat, toward “higher and higher more effective living forms.” The goal of evolving to Godhood need not deprive us of either science or religion. Defining the the internal activation of life to evolve toward higher and higher forms and eventually to Godhood while being shaped by natural selection and evolution is a theological materialism that can bring back a firm foundation to the West.

Defining great art (from 2012)

I define traditional great art as the affirmation of the sacred, and modern art as the denial of the sacred. We could also say that high comedy is the denigration of the noble, and low comedy is the denigration of the ignoble.

Raymond Cattell wrote about how society must have skill in distinguishing between creative revolutionary originality and purely destructive revolutionary hubris. The survival of society can be seen in how well this is measured. This applies to art too.

T. S. Eliot more or less said that before we can define art, education or politics we need to answer the questions “what is man?,” and “what is man for?.” I give the answer that we are here to evolve to Godhood, and all things follow after that.

Modern art has been a big debauched pause in the history of art. I prefer “Evolutionary Realism” in art, which relates to the realism of traditional art, along with evolution of the new, potentially all the way to Godhood. Now that is art philosophy.

Thoughts on war and the need for a deeper realism

Raymond Cattell's best argument against war was that when regarding evolutionary ends it is the quality rather than the size of the group that should be the basis for natural selection.

This for me underlines the realist position on war (see Barry Posen) regarding the strategic position of the U.S. The U.S. is enormously powerful, geography favors the the U.S. due to ocean barriers and relativity weak neighbors, and we will best procure our security with a transition back to realism, and away from both the liberal and neoconservative idea of hegemony in the world, which tries to maintain a unipolar world dominance that does not seriously take into account ethnic/racial, national, religious, and identity politics, which are the most powerfully human instincts against a unipolar world.

The neoconservatives and liberals (and even some religious  conservatives ) have taken the Hellenized position of a universal elite who think ideas can transcend tribes, cultures and epics, but this never works well. Like Rome, America is, or used to be, too pragmatic for the idealism of Greek philosophy, we wanted to build roads more than philosophy. People create ideas, ideas then reflect the biological traits and needs of the people.

We need to build more than roads, philosophy needs to get back to philosophical naturalism. I believe traditional religion also needs to affirm theological materialism. We are realistically evolving to Godhood in the material and supermaterial world and we need long term realistic strategies to do so. Wars of hegemony in the world are to be avoided. We need to take into account ethnic, national, religious, and identity politics, which are the most powerfully instincts against a unipolar world. Ethnic or racial imperialism needs to eventually give way to ethnopluralism, with regions and states set aside for ethnic/racial cultures, protected from marauding imperialists, supremacists, and global money grubbers, by a light federalism.  This could legally be accomplished by adapting the U.S. constitutional separation of powers and states to an ethnopluralism of ethnostates.
