Overcoming The Crisis In Religion

Religion has been dying at least since the Enlightenment of the 18^th century, but I think it is now in the crisis stage.

Science and the atheists cannot alone be blamed for the crisis. Religion has been a religio-philosophical history of the slow destruction of the material world and real objects. God has disappeared from the world in the name of spiritualism and anti-materialism, which has brought us nothingness. It is no wonder a Godless materialism has risen. But it is an amoral, non-religious materialism offering little to replace the character, tone and guiding beliefs of religion.

The crisis in religion has brought forward unreal solutions that only put a happy religious face on the source of the crisis. For example, the new “evolutionary spirituality” brings Eastern religions to the West and confounds and distorts involution by calling it evolution. It is the same basic discounting of the material world which has led to the decline and fall of religion.

Meanwhile, the latest book by famed atheist Richard Dawkins is designed for young people who, judging from the popular media, are already amoral atheists. Have you seen the new situation comedies of this television season? This is what adolescent boys amuse themselves with outside the confines of the locker room.

Non-crisis leaders have sacrificed realism in the interest of an empty happiness, usually unconsciously. But real crisis eventually brings forward leaders who do well in a crisis because they don't distort reality,  crisis becomes the source of new strength and creativity, bringing unusual solutions to very serious problems. The Theoevolutionary Church rises out of this religious crisis with realism, empathy, and creativity. 

Our mission is to bring the good news that Godhood is supermaterial, not immaterial, and Godhood is reached through material and supermaterial evolution, animated by the Spirit-Within. This is defined in the Evolutionary Outward Path leading to Real Godhood, and is added to the Involutionary Inward Path which seeks the God or Father-Within of the Revealed Religions. Science can join religion in guiding our evolution to Godhood, and religion can once again bring character, tone and guiding belief to the lost world.
