The unfolding of a single thought
Schopenhauer said that his philosophy
was the unfolding of a single thought. Theological materialism
also unfolds a single thought, but it is the opposite of not only
Schopenhauer but opposite many of the religious ascetics.
There is divine purpose inherent in
life, which Schopenhauer denied, and it is a purpose very much
connected to the material and supermaterial world. "Life" is activated to evolve
in the material world of joy and suffering toward Godhood, which is a
thoroughly optimistic single thought.
The drive, will, spirit, or activation
within life, which I call Tirips, is material, not spiritual, and it
defines the essence of life as seeking the zenith of success in
survival and reproduction, or Godhood.
This activation of life is not an
"evil" Id, we can be conscious or unconscious of it. It is
more like a Super-Id seeking to activate life toward Godhood, which
we can either help or hinder.
Humans see anthropomorphic endings and
beginnings, but we do not have an elevated status in nature, however we can
evolve toward higher beings within the structures and
strictures of outside natural evolution. It is an endless evolution
toward higher and higher Godhoods.
Human civilizations and cultures
project from this single idea of life evolving toward Godhood, which
organizes not only life but the whole universe.
