Followers of Rene Guenon, Frithjof Schuon, and the Philosophia Perennis, are courageous and deep thinkers who nevertheless do not affirm evolution, (both men converted to Islam) and their problems with science seems to derive from an entirely involutionary view of Godhood.
While the Evolutionary Christian Church can affirm many of the insights of the Philosophia Perennis, we view it as seeing only half the picture. God, glimpsed after great effort, in perennial philosophy, must be bio-spiritually evolved to, with even greater effort.
