How art and creativity validate conservative philosophy (from the archive)

Is high art refined low art/folk art, or is low art simplified high art? High art seems to be a superstructure built over the structure of folk art.

What we appear to do is assimilate the new, the unfamiliar, with the old material of our experience, this seems to be where creativity comes from, new patterns formed between old material and new material.

We don't see something in the outer world and declare that new thing alone as a new thing, it has to first harmonize and adapt with our inner world.

Was there a time when high and low art were one art? When did they become unconnected? Natural hierarchies form and develop their own values. And also the homogenizing and globalization of human cultures had something to do with these changes.

Even the Church did this sort of thing when they built the pagan values of wisdom, courage, temperance and justice on to the Christian virtues of faith, hope, charity and love.

I suppose in ideal cultures both high and low art exist, with low art as a less refined version of high art, which makes for a more harmonizing, assimilating culture of various classes of people who generally affirm the same values.

This natural dynamic of assimilating the new, the unfamiliar, with the old material of our experience, validates the conservative philosophy in creativity.

The strengths and weaknesses of Russian and Western conservatism

Russian conservatism and Western conservatism have their strengths and weaknesses. Both don't respect science enough do mainly to their religious views; this means that both don't respect the evolutionary biological origin of social behavior which includes the origin of religion, although Russian conservatives rightly affirm ethnic nationalism. Russian conservatives are too enamored with imperialism, and Western conservatives love money, although the free enterprise capitalism is superior.

My view of the absolute importance of human evolution kept me away from the brilliant seduction of the Traditionalist School which is where the Alt-right turned. Many have now gone over to the school of Guenon, Evola, and the Russian Dugin, and embraced a non-populist, old spiritual religious, imperialist, hierarchy of rule, and have downplayed or even rejected the idea of science and evolutionary progress. Why didn't the Alt-right feature more Western geniuses, men like the brilliant British/American psychologist Raymond Cattell, or the great Neo-Darwinist field of sociobiology, rather than converting to the West-disparaging Russian imperialist Aleksandr Dugin and his Traditionalist School teachers, Guénon and Evola who did not find science (a jewel of the West) nearly as important as Eastern spiritualism (a jewel of the East).

Evolutionary conservatism believes that if real kin and ethnic-centered human nature was allowed to be what it is, it would naturally lead to regionalism, localism, general conservative values, eventually ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc., and defended by a defensive federalism. The goal of evolving to Godhood need not deprive us of either science or religion. When Godhood is seen as a naturalistic and theological goal, the goal of evolution, then biology and theology need not settle for the empty spiritualism. Nature and philosophy can be seen as life materially evolving toward ascending levels of Godhood, and we can all get on with the religious goal of of evolving toward Godhood.

DC Comics usher in a gay white superman

 “Superman Comes Out," read the headline, and it was not a joke. I'll bet if superman was black this would not have happened. This is a “woke” attack on a hero of the white man. There seems to be no limit on how much humiliation white men will take from these minority-driven cultural and racial attacks. Today white men have no real defense against their growing dispossession.

Conservatism was the movement to sustain the community in all ways and to ensure the community’s long-term survival, but conservatism virtually left out conserving the biology of the community, the genes, the genetic pool, the ethnic group that defines the community. Conservatism defended religion and high culture against the materialist doctrine of progress but---inspired by its universalist religion---conservatism forgot about conserving the materialism that makes up the genes, the genetic pool, and the ethnic group of the community. The Black Lives Matter movement and its white-woke-cuckold followers doesn't have that problem.

Matter is energy, but energy is matter. There would be no matter without energy but also no energy without matter. Do we really want to rate one higher than the other? I would then rate living matter as more evolved than simple energy. Spiritualism turns the real material world upside-down and claims that the religious/philosophical ideal is not really material, is not matter, or is more sacred energy than lowly matter. They claim that their supreme ideas are non-material and Godlike, or even God.

Why the hatred of the material world even to the point of blocking all material desires or blocking all life, at least for ascetics? They do it so that they can dwell in the blissful bodily experience of supreme ideas, unbothered and unaffected by material desires. It is a cloistered world ultimately driven by hedonism.

The main problem with traditional asceticism is that it blocks the path of material evolution to real supermaterial Godhood, which requires material desires, but channeled desires that need to genetically and culturally funnel evolving life-forms toward the supermaterial zenith of beauty, truth and goodness. This allows material science to enter religion as a help-mate. That is the future of religion transformed.

We can conservatively keep the old ascetic inward path to the "god" within in the Twofold Path, but only as a symbolic glimpse of the real Godhood reached in the outward path of material evolution to real Godhood.

Spirit is Matter

Theological materialism sees it the opposite way: spirit is matter, there is no spirit. Spirit and matter are of one essence and not dualistic, just as energy can “freeze” into matter, and matter can unfreeze into energy. It's not really accurate to say that matter is the inferior aspect of spirit and spirit the superior aspect of matter, spirit is really super-materiality and not something apart from matter. This means you really can't define spirit and matter as good and evil, but you can define matter as evolved and unevolved. Evolution is the activation of the will to life within matter to evolve to Godhood, working along with outside evolution and national selection. Godhood is ascending levels of super-materiality.

 

Biden's grievous destruction of American culture by immigration

With his wide open border policies flooding the country with Haitians and Mexicans, President Biden and his fellow travelers are committing the most grievous destruction of American culture since Edward “Ted” Kennedy's Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965, which killed the long-standing national-origin immigration quotas that favored those from northern and western Europe. And this conquest through immigration pushed by Biden is happening not because Biden has obvious old age cognitive difficulties, and not because for years he has been one of the stupidious and most dishonest politicians in Washington, this is a purposeful flooding of the country to change the country. As the people change the culture changes. As the demographics change the culture changes. This is murder.

Contrary to prevailing opinion today liberalism is irrational, populism is rational. Liberal's typically look down their noses at Trumpians thinking them complete irrational idiots, when the truth is it is the liberals who are the irrational idiots in promoting postmodernism, Marxism, feminism, multiculturalism, which are mainly irrational absurdities, lies, and undisguised wills to power---and these things are astoundingly taught in virtually all our schools and reflected throughout the media.

The postmodern idea that everything is socially constructed (but not postmodernism?) is almost psychotic. The explanation for the freakish victory of postmodernism, Marxism, feminism, etc. in the academic world and in the media is that the relativism and power philosophy of postmodernism was not successfully countered by the academic traditional conservatives because they could not fully accept their best defense, which is the broadly biological origin of our social behavior, taught by the scientific synthesis of sociobiology. They could not even affirm religion as essentially having been a better way to socially bond groups together (altruism) for successful survival and reproduction. And so postmodernism won the academic power war.

The biological origin of our social behavior, as empirically explained by sociobiology, actually ends the intellectual defense of postmodern relativism. As long as we are alive every cell in our body demands survival and reproductive success. This natural activation can be blocked, subverted, or it can be unknown to us, but it can't legitimately be intellectually or instinctively denied. Human nature is biologically kin-centered and ethnic-centered, even xenophobic, as well as being genetically gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, and religious-making, with group-selection and ethnic selection as the primary unit of successful selection followed by individual selection.. We may lament more than the loss of watching sports

 On his Fox show ”Unfiltered,” like many of us, Dan Bongino was lamenting the loss of watching sports before the Back Lives Matter movement ruined the collective joy in watching ones team win a big game, with their disrespectful displays on the field, rejecting our patriotic symbols, calling them racists etc. Then Bongino ended by saying sadly that he wants that magical time back again. I shook my head and said to the TV:  "We wont get it back, Dan, until we create ethnostates.”

The realistic way to solve Martin Buber's “I-Thou and I-It'” way of looking at the world is not to define the I-Thou as identifying with a spiritual God ruling all people and demanding that we religiously call each other “Thou” rather than “It,” but rather to acknowledge and and affirm that the biological origin of social behavior favors the survival of the I-It attitude with all ethnic groups and races, because all groups biologically seek survival and reproductive success for themselves first; we can then redefine the I Thou as respecting the right of each ethnic group to seek survival and reproductive success living separately in ethnostates with ethnopluralism.

 It is usually not said that aristocracy does not depend on wealth or civilized taste alone but also on genetic qualities. Good genetic qualities lead to intelligence etc. which in turn can lead to a financial aristocracy, but then education and civilization are required to make a real aristocracy.

Although I am more or less a populist on the right believing in localism, and the separation of powers, states, and people, I can't be against the inequality of wealth, the level of civilization, or genetic qualities, I am not a socialist or Marxist. But the genetic lag between people and cultures, which is one of the main causes of problems between people and cultures, can in fact be addressed with humane genetic and eugenic actions for all who desire it.

But the goal is not merely to develop a wealthy and civilized human evolving aristocracy, but to continue evolving on earth and out into the cosmos toward Godhood, which is defined as the highest material and supermaterial aristocracy, the highest beauty, truth, goodness, consciousness and intelligence. This evolution toward Godhood defines the sacred goal of life.

As to “heroes of the mind,” they need to be linked to the evolution of life, human life, and to the evolution of higher species on the path to Godhood. That is the first supposition of human history and the most worthy goal of religion, philosophy, art and politics. It all starts from this natural basis. Compare this goal to the consciousness, thoughts, and conceptions of modern intellectuals.

As I have suggested here before regarding high art, we drifted away from didactic and moral art as we became more literate, but as evolutionary psychologists have pointed out, story-telling had survival benefits in the Pleistocene, and it still does, when we relate beauty to real biological life, evolution, and religion. There is no need to use a hammer to didactically or morally inspire in art, past aristocracies have shown us that art is usually best when it is subtle. The idea of Godhood attained in future evolution has sacred artistic and religious value, but it also has survival and reproductive value. And great art has always affirmed the sacred.

We can have, and we need, both science and religion

The primal world (energy or will) belongs to both the physicist and the theologian. Naturalism can be enlarged to theological materialism. Life and the world is evolving toward Godhood. Evolution never ends, it moves inevitably in a pattern---even though it has its random elements---and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat---toward higher and higher more effective living forms, always evolving toward ascending levels of Godhood. We can have biological idealism grounded in naturalism, we can have, and we need, both science and religion. We need more than postmodernism in the academic world, hedonism promoted by the Big Media, modern liberalism on the left, libertarianism on the right, or totalitarian Marxism.

History as the narrative of progress

A big philosophical and religious divide today is between those who see history as the narrative of progress (Hegel, Cattell? Wilber?) and those say the world lacks teleological design and purpose in the material world ( Schopenhauer, early Nietzsche, Postmodernism, Science?).

The hopeless relativity of values that is promoted by modern philosophy is untrue and unreal. There exists a biological teleology, a design and purpose in the material world, flowing through all life, which offers freedom but within a determined biological teleology.

I ask why does “life” “live?” Why is life animate rather than inanimate? Why does life have metabolism, growth, reproduction? Why doesn’t life just sit there doing nothing? Why has life persisted time and again in evolving from the simple to the complex under the most extreme conditions?

It is more than an outward action or reaction, there is an inward vitalism working within and shaped by outside evolution. This is the activation of the will to life, and when it is amplified it is seen as the will-to-evolve-toward-Godhood. I think it was Cattell who said evolution moves inevitably in a pattern, even though it has its random elements, and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat, toward higher and higher more effective living forms.

This process of evolution is activated from within every cell of living bodies, which then react and adapt to the various outside environments that life lives in. This activation is the same activation that leads to the desire to successfully survive and reproduce. And this activation is a material/supermaterial activation, but not spiritual.

The best way to avoid human stagnation and immobility

Qualities such as intelligence, emotional stability, conscience (altruism), good health, good sensory organs, longevity, these are some of the aims of eugenics, and these things reach their highest quality, or their zenith, as evolution moves toward Godhood, which is aesthetically the beautiful, religiously the good, and philosophically and scientifically the true.

Human nature is biologically kin-centered and ethnic-centered, even xenophobic, as well as being genetically gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual, marriage-making, hierarchical, and religious-making, with group-selection and ethnic selection as the primary unit of successful selection. Alas, like the liberals and neoconservatives even the paleoconservatives block or conceal the ethnic-centered and xenophobic parts of human nature due it seems to universalist religious edicts.

Evolutionary conservatism believes that if real kin and ethnic-centered human nature was allowed to be what it is, it would naturally lead to regionalism, localism, general conservative values, eventually ethnostates, and finally an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc., and defended by a defensive federalism. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates could be established legally in the United States with our constitutional separation of powers and states. Will we ever do it? Can we do it?

Nature can be defined as divine not demonic without fiction of spirituality when we can see that nature only looks like an endless war of all against all for success in survival and reproduction and nothing more until we affirm that we are also aided in evolution by an inward, purely physical activation to materially evolve toward ascending levels of Godhood, which works along with the shaping of outside evolution and selection. “Evolution moves inevitably in a pattern, even though it has its random elements, and the pattern has a discernible direction, in spite of instances of stagnation and retreat, toward higher and higher more effective living forms.” (Cattell) Materially evolving toward ascending levels of Godhood is how we can define nature as divine not demonic and how we can see beyond the idea of morality in nature having no other demonstrable ultimate function than, as Edward O. Wilson put it, being a circuitous technique by which human genetic material has been and will be kept intact. We are materially evolving toward Gods and we should help it along the way.
