How both the black and white power movements have it wrong and how evolutionary conservatism can make it right

What I have called “evolutionary conservatism” affirms the biological origin of social behavior and the sociobiological view of human nature. "The genes hold culture on a leash. The leash is very long, but inevitably values will be constrained in accordance with their effects on the human gene pool. The brain is a product of evolution. Human behavior...is the circuitous technique by which human genetic material has been and will be kept intact...” (Edward O. Wilson)

Change is reality, but so is retaining the best of the past. That is also the way evolution works. The human body and brain evolved by retaining the fish, reptilian and mammalian brain. That is conservatism in action. Human nature has been and remains genetically ethnocentric, even xenophobic, as well as being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, with group-selection as the primary unit of selection, followed by individual-selection.

Both the black power and white power movements have it wrong: the blacks think only whites can be racist when their Black Lives Matter movement is racist, and the white power movement can't move beyond the supremacism that has plagued it. The real challenge of ethnocentric and xenophobic human nature is to move beyond supremacism. This suggest that if noble statesman of the future see the duty of the state as trying to avoid sedition, discord, and civil war, they will honor the biological origin of social behavior by taking on the damaging racial competitions disguised as calls for equality etc., and advocate the creation of an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all.

Conservatism has found that retaining what was long developed is important to humans and to human survival. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates could be established in America largely within the traditional American cultural framework. We need to honor the biological origin of social behavior and advocate the creation of an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, in harmony with real human nature. Then we will need to protect each ethnostate from the inevitable marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, chosenists, Marxists, etc. The good news of evolutionary conservatism is that an ethnopluralism of ethnostates could and should be established, legally, in the United States with our existing constitutional separation of powers and states. This is the way we can avoid radical revolution and yet adapt to the increasingly combative racial and cultural differences in America.

Our suicidal ignorance about human nature

Demography really is destiny, not merely with aging trends or population growth but regarding that which must never be spoken: the reality that as the people or race changes the culture and country changes. Both the right and especially the left are suicidally ignorant of or they block knowledge of the biological origin of our social behavior.

The black lives matter movement, which is really a black power movement, charges ahead claiming only whites are racist, and both whites and blacks vigorously deny that they are racist. In reality real human nature is and has been genetically kin and ethnic centered (ie. racist and ethnocentric) since humans became human, with group selection as the main unit of successful survival and reproduction, followed by individual selection.(see the science of sociobiology).

But as one historian put it, what formerly divided us can put us back together again. A true natural rights or civil rights movement would promote ethnostates and an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, chosenites, supremacists, Marxists, etc. All people, all races, need to wake up to the reality that demography really is destiny. Our suicidal ignorance about human nature is destroying us.

It's not that dumb-ass modern liberals (global socialists) and our senile president don't know that open borders and an indiscriminate unending flow of migrants will change America because as the people change the culture changes, it's that the dumb-ass modern liberals don't care if the country or culture changes. And conservatives are not much help because they won't admit the biological origin of our social behavior.

Harvard biologist Edward Wilson said of Marxism: “Wonderful theory, wrong species...The genes hold culture on a leash. The leash is very long, but inevitably values will be constrained in accordance with their effects on the human gene pool.” Dutton said modern liberalism or universalist humanitarianism is ultimately a losing strategy, as it is “unable to sustain high levels of in-group cooperation...Humanitarian groups invariably waste their precious reproductive potential helping out free riders who give them nothing in return...” And Rothbard said, “Behind the honeyed but patently absurd pleas for equality is a ruthless drive for placing themselves (the elite) at the top of a new hierarchy of power.”

Theological materialism religiously bonds with the ongoing advances in human knowledge

I agree with Monika Jablonska when she says that traditional Western values and morals are at the crossroads, and that our country faces social and individual disintegration. And I agree with Russell Kirk when he says that “it has seemed far more probable that we are stumbling into a new Dark Age, inhumane, merciless, a totalist political domination in which the life of spirit and the inquiring intellect will be denounced, harassed, and propagandized against...”

I also agree with Jablonska that we need to “restore that vital relation between religion and culture which has existed at every age and on every level of human development.” But I disagree with Christopher Dawson when he writes that “there is an absolute limit to the progress than can be achieved by the perfectionment of scientific techniques detached from spiritual aims and moral values.” I believe we need to restore that vital relation between religion and culture with a religion of science based in a theological materialism which affirms ascending levels of Godhood reached through material evolution, with religion and culture devoted to that evolutionary process. Nothing less is worthy of religiously bonding with the ongoing advances in human knowledge.

The evolutionary conservatism of theological materialism counters both the stagnation of traditional conservatism and the nihilism of modern thinking. The heart of religion and conservatism should first contain the sacred material upward evolution to ascending levels of Godhood, as well as the conservative effort to conserve the best of the past.

The morals and values of our Western culture did not depend solely on Christian values, before religion was even created or consulted real human nature related well to traditional religion in being kin-centered, gender defined, age-grading, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, ethnocentric, even xenophobic, among other things, with group-selection as the primary unit of selection.

Not that long ago characters in the entertainment media could be bad, but we wanted well drawn believable bad characters to show us how well drawn good characters were superior. Not any more. Now it's strait decadence and decay for the sake of decadence and decay. Reviewer's now actually criticize characters for being “hemmed in” by invisible moral boundaries, amoral protagonists are celebrated for boldly breaking all the ethical rules.

Some of this celebration of garbage has to do with the lack of courage of nerdy writers to go against fashionable trends, and some may come from a direct desire to destroy traditional morals, but most of it comes for the cultural Marxism (political correctness) taught throughout our college and university systems which allows no moral judgments, other than being against those who make any moral judgments.

The entertainment media is far more powerful and influential in a negative way than many of us thought it could be. Whether this means breaking up the media monopolies or building up our own media along side their monstrous media, remains to be seen. Meanwhile we sink further into the garbage, and no good guys are allowed. How can we change things! I am an American patriot and I don't advocate fascism, but it is becoming easier to understand how the fascists of the last century could scream in frustration over the destructive media in their societies.

Updating Burke's moral imagination and defining natural evolutionary conservatism and romantic realism

Updating Burke's moral imagination in light of the sociobiological definition of human nature and the biological origin of social behavior, we can affirm an evolutionary conservatism and romantic realism basically derived from the genes holding culture on a leash. As Edward O. Wilson said “...the leash is very long, but inevitably values will be constrained in accordance with their effects on the human gene pool. The brain is a product of evolution. We can then see how evolutionary conservatism derives from human nature being in reality genetically ethnocentric, even xenophobic, as well as being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, with group-selection as the primary unit of selection.

We can see how romantic realism derives from updating Wilson's idea that morality has no other demonstrable ultimate function than the successful survival and reproduction of the genes and by adding that we are also aided in evolution by an inward, purely physical activation to materially evolve toward ascending levels of Godhood.

We can get out from under the idea of original sin and see that real human nature is good. Our moral imagination can affirm a realistic yet romantic natural rights or civil rights movement that promotes an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, with each ethnostate protected from marauding imperialists, global businesses, supremacists, Marxists, etc. An ethnopluralism of ethnostates could be established legally in the United States with our constitutional separation of powers and states. Multicultural multi-ethnic societies are a zero sum game where the gain of one ethnic group is offset by the loss of another ethnic group, with much cruel social discord in the process. Ethnostates are in harmony with the biological origin of social behavior and in accord with real human nature.

This updates Burke's moral imagination and defines natural evolutionary conservatism and romantic realism.

An evolving society that wants to maintain its boundaries and traditions would see the good sense in ethnopluralism

 Establishing an ethnopluralism of ethnostates certainly is a volatile idea, at least in these times when few even admit the biological origin of social behavior. A review by Gregory M. Collins (“The Princes of Prudence,” Modern Age, Spring 2020) comparing the prudence of Burke and Lincoln reminded me of how important the dance between change and tradition will be in establishing an ethnopluralism of ethnostates. As an evolutionary conservative I believe we eventually need to gradually and legally transform the constitutional separation of powers and states into an ethnopluralism of ethnostates.

Everyone likes to claim the brilliant conservative Edmund Burke as one of their own, and I do too if we can imagine Burke with an upgrading of his views on traditional human nature, having studied sociobiology.  Sociobiologist's could claim Burke too, if they absorb Burke's idea that we are to take things as they actually are. This leads to the truths which sociobiology has been coming up with since Darwin. In every human culture ever studied, human nature included kin-selection preferences, incest taboos, marriage, hierarchy, division of labor, gender differentiation, localism, and ethnocentrism, and most important to political considerations, group or ethnic selection remains the main unit of selection. If cultures propose to not include these things they don't last long, and they always return to these things. And these traits are at the core of conservatism and tradition.

An evolving society that wants to maintain its boundaries and traditions would see the good sense in ethnopluralism, which separates powers, regions, and states in an ethnopluralism of ethnostates for all groups, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, in accord with real human nature. Conservatively the U.S. constitutional principal of the separation of powers and states could accommodate ethnopluralism, protected by federalism.

Evolutionary sociobiology can be applied to the religious sacred goal of aiding evolution as it moves toward the zenith of truth, beauty and goodness in material/supermaterial evolution. Conservatism is seen in retaining the symbolic traditional peak religious experiences of the Inward Path, as affirmed by Christ, Buddha and others, transformed in the Outward Path of material evolution to ascending levels of real Godhood.

The mixed up mess of Critical race theory

The identity based Marxism of “critical race theory” (CRT) declares all whites racist but not other races, which is the beginning problem with CRT. The next problem is the Marxism itself of CRT which doesn't work in practice and killed 100 million people in its attempt to make it work in the Soviet Union, China etc.

Critical race theory changes Marxism from a war of between classes to a war between races. CRT rightly sees racial competition taking place but they entirely miss the biological origin of social behavior, and the biological origin of racial competition, and they call racism the product only of whites, when CRT is clearly a black power movement itself.

Human nature is racist and ethnocentric and has been since humans became humans, as the evolutionary sciences like sociobiology have been trying to tell us for years. What is missing today is knowledge of the biological origin of social behavior which came with Darwin and later sociobiology showing that real human nature is and has been genetically kin and ethnic centered (ie. racist and ethnocentric) with group selection as the main unit of successful survival and reproduction, followed by individual selection.

We have gotten far away from the real human nature we inherited from our ancestors and we can only truly rise when we go back to a healthy expression of who we really are. Human nature has been and remains genetically ethnocentric, even xenophobic, as well as being kin-centered, gender defined, age-graded, heterosexual marriage-making, hierarchical, with group-selection as the primary unit of selection, followed by individual-selection. We now know we can't build a lasting multicultural and multiracial nation with real human nature.

The classical conservative authors sought to “delay the decay,” says Patrick Deneen in his review of Ross Douthat's upbeat view of conservatism (“The Great Stagnation—or Decline and Fall?,” Modern Age, Spring 2020), the classical conservatives sought to “slow the rot and avoid unnecessary innovation.” This, says Deneen, is at the heart of the conservative disposition: “The course of the world is to run down. The failure of one generation to pass along its virtues is akin to the natural degradation of our genetic code and the inevitable decline and death of our bodies."

But I believe it has been the denial and even taboo by conservatives of the biological origin of social behavior (which of course the leftist and postmodernists also deny) that is fueling the continuing decline of the West. The heart of the conservatism should first contain biological progression, as well as the effort to delay the decay. People instinctively know the truth of the biological origin of our social behavior, and ironically, denying it, is itself the result of biological competition consciously or unconsciously hiding real motives.
